  • Sham 69 - Four skins - The Ramones - The Buzzcoaks - Crass - The Vandals - The dead Kennedys - Rancid - Sick of it all - Madball - GG allin - The reusfed - Poison idea - Minor threat - Aginst me - Operation ivy - The Blitz - The Clash - Disorder - Propagadhni - The Exploited - NOFX these bands r what punk is all about and this song delivers the point prefectly

  • The song was half'd to emphasize on the part where he talks about the bands.

  • why does it start half way through the song.....?

  • Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you’ve got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you’re always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it’s up to you to go out there and paint the canvas.

Throw your fist in the air in solidarity,

And shout “Viva la punk, just one life, anarchy”.

  • shame it misses out the first 4 minutes of the song...

  • I know Itch says "punk rock boy and girl" but do you guys think he's only referring to only punk rock boys and girls? I somewhat think he's referring to everyone in general. What do you think?

  • VIVA LA PUNK,

    JUST ONE LIFE,

    ANARCHY!

  • Fucking love this song and been listening to It for years then watched this video and saw a good mate of mine 'Cyril the Squirrel' who I lived with for a while at 3 seconds in. Top man , top song....

  • Remeber the huge anti cuts march on March 26th in London-11am at embankment. Time to fight back!!!

  • this is fuckin awesome

  • what If it just had some muted chords and bad tuned guitars..

  • Oh brother. This=Pile.

  • Punk rock is one of the reasons why I'm such a huge activist today. The lyrics, the bands are activism at some of it's best.

I may not look like the punk girl I did in high school but on the inside, in my heart I will always be that "little punk girl." It's in my body and soul and it will never leave me.

  • @punkgrl891 Now I'm wondering if you married? ; )

  • @tatumetalxD hahahaha no but I have a boyfriend. sorry...

  • @punkgrl891 I wish you to be happy but if things turn the other way, feel free to come over... brazil, rio, 25 yo hahaha

  • AMAZING. BRILLIANT. ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!

  • if it wasnt for punk rock, i wouldnt be who i am today, the world wouldnt be the same. i come to music for refuge from the outside world which is full of autotuned bullshit and without that refuge there is no way i would be the same person.

VIVA LA PUNK, JUST ONE LOVE, ANARCHY!

  • moving stuff, moving stuff. take pride in being whoever the fuck you want to be. good words mate, good words

  • Shine your light so bright that all can see, take pride in being whoever the fuck you want to be, throw your fist in the air in solidarity and shout

VIVA LA PUNK, JUST ONE LOVE, ANARCHY!

  • Stay Free!

  • pure passion and power.

  • Why's it half way through the song?

  • loooooveee thiss :} <333

  • wow, i just cried a little.

This montage gives me the shivers!

  • This is how culture, politics , society is truly expressed. Through real people and their expression and meticulous art form (: Great Song, Strong message.

  • i cant belive ive never heaerd this before now. fuck its amazing. really spoke to me.

  • this song is not just ment to be listened to its ment to be herd, this song has made me feel better bout myself

  • "and shout viva la punk"

    brilliant

  • what happend to the rest of the song?

  • It's not really 'punk' in the traditional sense, but you've got to love it. The spirit's there even if the heavy guitars aren't.

  • hell the bands not traditional either their first album was dud reggae album mixed together with a lil punk to make an interesting combination, then their second album was a ska-alternative-rock mix

  • of corse, its obvisouly more rap, but he is singing about punk rock. Rap can be used for that sort of thing, since its so much about the words and the message than it is the music. If anything, this song is poetic indubitably.

  • oh itch you're amazing.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

Found it accidentally and i've had it on repeat for the past hour!

  • you should download the whole song its got a really cool spoken word bit in front of it

  • Thanx for the advice, I love it even more now!

  • @fitzybwfc2311 You seriously just listen to one song over and over for an hour? God, you need to broaden your musical horizons....

  • best part of the song.

  • Comment removed

  • ahhhh ofcourse emily. because you saw them in kerrang, you automatically expected them to be a whiney little emo band?

  • there so original

  • more spoken word..

    fuckwit?

  • no its not you dirty unwashed stinking exscuse for a crack whore.

    i guess the issues academic..

  • Oh I see... I have academic issues, when you have to rely on superfluous insults to prove a point. How childish. And by the way - you can't spell 'excuse' right. So I suggest you sort out your own obvious faults before faulting others. It'll keep you busy for awhile. ;D

  • would you like to meet up with me and give me a blow job?

  • your the meaning of a loser. i'd laugh if you died. ;D

  • Incidentally, king blues only do this one tune thats a rap. Rest is rather different, the single save the world get the girls more their normal style. Of course that my not be to your taste either/you may have heard it. Just thought I'd drop that in though ;]. Also lol@youtube 'debates'

  • Thank you. I prefer responsible answers. :D I just spotted the word 'punk' and thought I'd check it out. But you can understand my surprise. :/ Thanks. (:

  • i have these lyrics written on my wall starting from "don't let anyone tell you your not worth the earth." i read them every morning. there deep.

    i love King Blues.

    x

  • full version?!?!?!?

    i <3 king blues

  • personally, i'm of the opinion that negative thoughts/music/actions only attract more negative.

such as an anti-war protest only attracting more war, but a pro-peace rally attracting peace.

i do love the king blues, I think they're an amazing band and there ethos is brilliant. I kind of wish I was of a different opinion but I can only think that if there was more pro peace music and such we'd be getting a lot further.

  • Just something I noticed: the pictures that played when he mentioned Poison Idea were images of Millions of Dead Cops, not PI. Just sayin'.

  • I noticed that from the multi-death corporations ep.

  • this song turned me punk again, i remembered y i used to be like this. (y)

  • ...So Don't Let Anyone Tell You You Aint Worth The Earth, These Streets Are Your Streets, This Earth Is Your Turf. :D

  • excelent band

  • what if the king blues never happened?

  • then ska wouldnt hav another chance of servivol for years i believe they are the face of a fourth wave of ska

  • there are many bands to carry on the torch, it would have survived check out do the dog records, some great bands on there. and what makes you think ska is dead it is more popular here than in america we have more ska bands than they do right now this is the fourth wave, king blues are just the tip of the iceburg. this video is awesome, make a full length version even if its only for youtube please

  • yh but ska has been around since the l8 50s and i think its bands like this which will some day make ska, punk and reggae a revolution yet that day wont b for a long time

  • sorry im splitting hairs but thats mento haha, i would hate for ska to be as big as it was in the 90s, the third wave ska boom nearly killed the genre, moon ska went out of business loads of bands quit. not again no thanks, i think kbs are the kings of the uk underground and based on current music trends ska is going to come back, i think the kbs will ride the crest of this wave BUT i believe it is going to be a uk revolution, last time america made it huge they had the bands this time its us

  • ok but maybe some day the whole world can feel the power of punk, ska and reggae

  • ska is huge in latin america and i mean HUGE on mtv japan also has a huge ska scene they also have oreskaband snail ramp cool wise men tokyo ska paradise orchestra etc france has patate records and some awesome bands like jim murple memorial and trains tone germany has yellow umbrella the busters bluekilla dr ring ding spain has the pepper pots the cabrians and loads of others oh yeah latin america has don segundo desorden publico, ska already rules the world its just not big inUS the uk follows

  • are u serious wow kid,the ska scene is all about jamaica, what about damian marley, eak a mouse.

its there culture in jamaica and the ska scene is more alive than you think.

in england you have over a million scooterist and mods who listen to northern soul and ska.

so before a britney spears fan like you even tries to coment on ska music remember kid you havent even scratched the surface.

  • wow dont call me a britney fan

ive been listening to dessmond dekker, the specials, madness, bad manners, the selector, sublime, spunge, reel big fish and loads of 1st 2nd and 3rd wave ska all my life i was just sayin that ska is so powerful that it should be in the charts out there spreading a message

  • Are YOU serious?

I feel I have to take issue with you for your attempt to put yourself on a pedestal above the subskatic dude. The ska scene is not all about Jamaica. I think you have been ill informed there. ska was influenced by Jamaican music but has its roots in the original skins movement. and when did you do a head count of all the ska fans? Finally for someone who has milly cyrus on their page you are in no position to criticise someone who listens to britany spears.

  • it depend on what wave of Ska your talking about first wave was straight up early dancehall reggae. second wave was the British ska movement with the skins and rude boys. But they were influence by the Jamaican immigrants in england at the time and their music didnt start getting skin influence till later on in the second wave of Ska

  • regardless of what time i was talking about- my comment was in responce to you refusing subskatic, who is clearly a fan, an opinion because you think they know less about the subject than you.

  • @dragonskankin life would be incomplete

  • @dragonskankin if only...

  • fuck yous all and listen to the lyrics music can change the world but only if you beleive it can .

also i agree with chippy 009 its the ethios of punk that matters in my opinion the sex pistols are shit but you cant deny they used the ethios of punk to help down thatcher

  • I really dont care why you all listen to the music you do

Whether its because it makes you look cool

Or maybe you like the beat

    Maybe it helps you relax

But personally, I listen to the King Blues because they actually give a cr*p, and they WILL save the world.

  • i don't wish to sound harsh but this band wont change the world. there a clever band, mixing d.i.y/anarcho/fuck the government punk motives and put it to a relaxed indy style beat. thats all they do make punk motives more accessible to the wider public by putting it to a more relaxed beat. it might be to sell records i personally hope not but remember all punk does is get protest and disconsent on the street and puts it into music. especially after the anarcho era i think

  • Yes.. the smallest of protests and movements make a difference in this world.

Remember.. kids are going to grow up listening to this. They are going to grow up with an anti-establishment prospective.

Although we may not be able to get the upper hand, the rich will always have it. We can surely make their work harder.

  • And get the girl.

  • punk doesnt just have to be about fast guitars and talking about how shit the goverment is...over and over again, its more the ethic of having fun, and making the music and getting it out their on your own. Beat happening are one of the best examples of this, they arent exactly "punk" in their sound but they are very in touch with the ethios of punk.

  • fuck me thats like dan le sac all over again

we need more bands like this

  • Good song, I'm going to repeat something someone said earlier; this song made me believe that some change is possible.

I'm young and there's still I lot I can do with my life, this song has inspired me a bit.

  • I Love this! !

  • "Punk girl" no punk girl has ever changed the world.

  • it was a collective effort. the females involved where just as important as the males.

  • how? I don't see any females writing any meaningful music, Nor have they ever done. The only female artist in life worth mentioning is "Bjork" and thanks to the female media supression going on, they make her out to be a crazy lady. Because society hates female individuality, if you go buy any album by a female. They sing only about 3 things "Love, Sex and heartbreak" sad but true.

  • if there where no supporters of the musicians, if they had no fans then they would have been useless. without the fans then their message would have gone unheard. in this respect everysingle punk, boy or girl, was important.

  • but females have ruined rock music, why do you think Jonas brothers and Fall out boy are going platinum. Because stupid girls are buying their music for the reason they look "hot". And you have Rage against the machine albums not even charting. It's sad but its true.

  • I'm so sorry for not having male genitalia; excuse me while I act subservient to every male in the area. [/sarcasm]

Anyone who truly believes that females have 'ruined rock music' is seriously narrow-minded. The Jonas Brothers and Fall Out Boy are not big because of 'stupid girls' - they're big because their music appeals to large audiences of both genders. Sexist, chauvinistic comments are not intelligent or acceptable, my friend.

  • "Sexist, chavinictic?" Don't get confused with that. i never said females were lesser than men, But music wise females just havent proved themselfs. And i can't see no "man" listening to Jonas brothers my freind.

  • You have Heather Mills syndrome; the more you say, the less you are right.

You're making generalisations about women, which will not even begin to be true and if just women bought the JB's disc, it wouldn't sell as well

The lack of Rage in the charts is down to the fact that they will not appeal to all people, certainly not to the middle class moderates that make up the majority of the UK. The Jonas Bros. and Fall Out Boy are middle of the road with a wide marketability, so they chart highly.

  • You clearly know little about music then, my freind.

  • I know alot about music, Everything from The beatles to throbbing Gristle.

  • Every member of both Fallout boy and the Jonas Brothers look like girls and are gross. Im a girl and honestly, RATM are a MUCH better looking band. Plus they actually have talent. ;]

  • yeh cus being the better looking band matters...

  • this song is beautiful

  • wow- this was fucking amazing

if there was more rap out there like this i'd listen to it

  • To all the people who are having the punk vs rap debate. My input is that to me "Punk" is ideology a movement no matter what form it takes on, The core message in this song is true to original punk rock soo there for to me this is as god as any punk song.

  • one word

    ,OWNAGE

  • the king blues there lyrics are fucking awesome the first time i hear this version of this song was on radio 1

i thought it was sick lyricly good to and iv waited for ages for this version to be put on youtube thnx

  • im not a big rap fan but this song has a great purpose

  • Not knocking the song though. Sounds fucking great.

  • Being proud.

Having the power to change the world

That's not PUNK. Sounds more like a school leavers' pep talk by sandal-wearing guest speakers.

  • lol, dats sort of true, but at least hes acknowledign how good punk is

  • yeah but it seems that every punk band these days need these pep talk songs. they´re fun though

  • Hes saying how much punk has done to world history and culture just by people listening to it. Hes praising the best bands in punk and then explaining what their message is. ALL punk has a message, thats what its about. Hes saying dont listen to anyone else and do what they say, just do what you want to do and if you go out and riot or protest or question things you told, you have the power to change things, like punk did in the 80's. Sounds pretty punk to me really, but to each his own eh?

  • I see where your point is fundamentally flawed Mustang. You're talking about the 80s. Any Punk that survived into the 80s was a watered down parody of itself. (Sigue Sigue Sputnik Spring to mind!)

The roots of Punk rock were in the 70s. In the UK at least, it was musically a reaction against 'out of touch' middle-class Prog Rock bands with their huge epic concerts that were so prolific in the middle of the decade. How could some kid from an council estate ever practically aspire to that?

  • its all shit fucking great

  • Soo much meaning.

    Amazing song.

    Love the lyrics.

  • Meh, silly anti-establishment banality.

  • i was having a shitty day till i heard this

  • yea same mate !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You call him an idiot and infer that he can mind-read in the same comment? Nice one, lol.

  • i saw you lot (king blues) live and acoustic in reading at the TPK bbq!

i was the asian with the big hair, add me fools!

    nice tunes, big up!

  • pish

  • its a little bit like 'weak become heroes', no? cool all the same. lots of punk seems to be about how it has sorted out peoples own lives. cool.

  • this didnt grow on me, i liked it the 1st time i herd it!

  • This is a great song, fuck eveyone who keeps saying that its not punk. Yeah, it may not be wot some people would call traditional punk music (just by trying to define punk as a genre of music they reveal there own ignorence of punk) But its message is pure Punk!!! and thats the end of it!

  • Feck off, rap's just modern punk, it's an expression of feelings, hatred, and how pissed-off we are. Not bad song...

  • YOUR AN IDIOT rap and punk stsrted around the same time.

  • No, YOU'RE an idiot, you can't use the correct YOUR/YOU'RE. Anyways, I was refering to MODERN rap, so there. Now GO GET A LIFE and stop getting offended by someone's supposedly small knowledge of rap.

  • awesome stuff

but by reading the asshole comments below, if they dont like it its crap..

guess what we all have our own tastes, just because you dont like it does not mean its crap..

    idiots

  • disgusting!! dont even sound any older than 20 wot the hell would they no bout any of it let alone do some crappy r&b hiphop rap shite wot eva you wanna call it type song i was expecting some proper loud punk type song how rude!!

  • You truly are a ignorant bastard.

If you did listen to all of King Blues' work, you'd realise how well informed and smart they are.

Not only are they great musicians, they do a lot of active resistance around UK.

  • what a pile of dogshit. Utter kack. Grow up

  • cos the pistols were about as punk as my granny

  • nice song but whys there no mention of the sex pistols

  • pistols are mentioned earlier in the song

  • they're not as imortant as a lot of people think. just got more publicity than ramones, clash, iggy ect

  • if punk never happened there woulda been shit loadsa ugly bastards with pink hair and dodgy boots hanging around the streets sniffin glue listening to spandau ballet..it woulda looked ridiculous..absolute chaos..

  • "lovely , thankyou for sharing this song , it is amazingly beautiful"

thank you for sharing your ass, it is amazingly GAY.

anyone that likes this song is a total retard go and listen to some real punk rock like anal cunt, impaled northern moonforest or the tagnuts

  • Putting the term "real punk" in the same sentence as Anal Cunt is just plain fucking stupid.

Also Anal Cunt are shit. Quit trying to act like a hardcase and listen to some decent music rather than noise mascerading as an anti establishment genre.

  • wiggy u dumb cunt if u dont like the song fuck off!!!!!

    the song is fucking epic

  • Do you want me to explain in detail how stupid you have just been or should I skip the formalities and simply call you a moron?

  • wiggy your a twat face it if you dont like it piss off listen to something else and your telling them to stop acting hard look at yourself fucking wanker

  • So you want the formalities then?

    OK

1-Someone said this song was shit and said Anal Cunt were better

2- I claimed that Anal Cunt were crap

3- You assumed ( I don't know how) that I was refering to this song despite never actually saying anything to such effect.

4- I took the piss out of you for not noticing

5- You reply like a whining bitch

6- I reply again, just to show you how you fucked up

    THE END

  • wiggy ftw... even though I like Anal Cunt.

  • the king blues used to be so cool

  • acrually this is more cyberpunk , i do feel we are definately living the low life high tech era ,

  • This is not a song. It is more like a accapella message with music.

Itch from the king blues, is a very good poet and strong columnist.

If you don't like the music for this, then it doesn't matter.

It was a accepella track to start with. And it's more about the message then the bakcing music.

    Go fuck yourself.

  • i can see your point, but just to let u know (remind u) acapella means no music no band, vocal and lirics only.

So this song is not acapella at all.

  • I said originally an accepella rhyme. In order for them to put it on the album, they needed to put on some sort of music in it.

Search WHAT IF PUNK NEVER HAPPENED DINGWALLS

And if you listen to the whole poem, it's much more touching.

You have to love this band coz they drag influence from Hip Hop/Grime to Reggae to Ska to Hardcore Punk.

Truly the best band to come out of the British Punk Scene

  • green day are shite

  • lovely , thankyou for sharing this song , it is amazingly beautiful ,

  • King Blues...Epic! Punk Rock has the power to change the world! It lies in every single punk rock boy and girl!
