Art is in the eye of the beholder, the hands of the artist, and the creative process that put it in those hands. There are no rules about spray art. There are purists, but they usually don't get it. Graffitti artists use all sorts of spray- tips and techniques but who questions their art?. Stencils are a tool, sponging is a technique? I love the results of all! Well done! Love that you give good advice! A real artist shares 'how' since they know the result is equal to the skill, eye, heart.

You know what you should have done to the moon? Just spray a tiny but of gray, the use magazine, THEN cover lol. Otherwise its awesome!

IMHO the more things you use besides spray alone, the less interesting it is. Any artist can make things using tools. Spray painting looks more amazing when it's mostly using the cans and 1 or 2 small tricks. Why don't you better brush paint. It's just a suggestion, don't get me wrong.

@str8out I understand what you're saying and I partly agree - partly because the process is not the art, the result is. Admittedly spray painting is supposed to be fast and simple, but I dont want to just stick to what is expected and i'd like to think I can do more than just "1 or 2 small tricks". Thanks for the input though

clear coat, or any varnish type pray paint

hey when you used the sock and made those blue bushes over the black paint, was the black paint still wet? cause i tried doing this with a green on black and it came out brown and the black paint was still wet.

no it was pretty much dry, if you dont want to wait try using a lighter colour ten the one you want - like yellow, make sure you get quite alot of paint on the sock and lightly add it...
