  • it seems like i´m fourteen....

  • I just turned 50 and I'm still listening to this music. I appreciate this stuff more today.whatever happened to the club scene?. I woulld fucking hate to be young today, There is absolutetly no music scene just those gay festivals they put on with 20 or so shitty acts.

  • I remember this as their comeback...that bass intro is one of the best in Punk Rock, for the best Guiitar intro go check The Exploited's Sid Vicious was innocent.

  • no one really gave the cpt any credit as a guitarist ...hes good y know ..better than steve jones and that hurts me to say that..

  • @davyboy62 for sure...hes an excellent guitar player..long live the captain

  • Great

  • :D :D :D :D

  • My vague resemblence to this dude got me by all through my teenage years.....

  • brings me back. to many good times.here in cph.

  • i had a bright orangefurry top like sensibles ....it stopped traffic in 79

  • check out motorhead bomber top of the pops 1979, sensible down the front, must've been the same show

  • Loved the Damned from day 1........but always disliked captain "happy talk" sensible.!! Total womble in more ways than 1.

  • @JustaScotsman Even he thinks it was bizarre that appy crap was a hit,

Effing genius guitarist though mate, and it must be the only no 1 with the word c**t in it

  • @Dangersmith1 Yeah agreed he was a top guitarist m8 only Steve Jones (Pistols) and Nicky garrett (Uk subs) were better.....great days.! wot the fuk we got now.? in the words of sham 69 FUCK ALL.!

  • @JustaScotsman

I wouldn't have thought to stick Nicky Garret in there with those two but, I can see where your coming from.

The Subs were the first punk band i ever saw live, Grangemouth town hall, 79/80 not too sure now but i was 13 or 14 scared shitless among all these mentol looking older kids going nuts. Charlie Harper was cool though, had time for everyone.

  • @Dangersmith1 ...Always thought Nicky was a top guitarist m8 his riffs made the subs what they were and they aint been the same since he quit in 83. Saw them at Ayr pavilion in summer of 79 after a riot with the mods and i ended in hospital getting my stomach pumped after too much of everything..!! lol God to hear another auld lad from scotland still into it......once a punk always a punk.!

  • my day's were more 81+ exploited discharge crass etc but still have fond memories of the damned, pistols, penetration et al once a punk always a punk, love it

  • compared to the rest of the band, the bass player looks like he forgot his outfit and was told to make faces so he fitted in. great song, great band

  • The Great British Public really didnt know what had happened when punk came alive. Does anyone else remember how much we were hated? They were very afraid of us...

  • @illhaveadouble

how much we were hated...as well as going to a show with 1 punk band in a lineup of 3 or 4 metal bands and the metal heads throwing pop bottles and beer cans at us while they laughed at how we danced...anyone?

oh the good old days...still wouldn't trade em for anything

  • Top notch!

  • i wish the furry suit would have stuck as much as vanians gothic appearence. imagine what the highschools would look like now!

  • Happy Days - red vinyl!

  • I've become 13 years old again, running back from the grocers at 100mph knowing that The Damned were on TOTP. Bursting through the door and seeing this. The best song from my favourite punk band. Cheers for posting.

  • heres a love song, just for you!
