We were all so excited! lol Not old. . just older. And we loved them all but Davie was the favorite. An English, cuddly guy. They were put together like a lot of boy bands today and we were shocked that they formed them like that! lol Thought they'd been together for years. . .

I'm not for sure but it seems to be a running theme of the episode. He refers several times during the joke wall to riding shotgun. I guess we would need to see the whole episode to get the reference.

At first you're meant to think stage means he was performing. The punchline makes it clear that stage means stagecoach.

I saw Peter Tork (by himself) in around 1999 and he was awesome. Very talented, played both guitar and keyboard really well, I didn't realize how talented he was. Thanks for posting this blast from the past!

My favorite part of this is everything that Mike said and did like starting out with "Mr. Jones, now there's no reason for me to come in here and lie to you" and "you have no reason to throw me out because of the great deal I have to sell these great encyclopedias to you"-the way he did that is the salesmanship ought to need be done because sidewinders of any profession are bad news because they look like they have white krylon paint on their teeth and you know it

@sandman616 I agree it is not the same without the four members of the Monkees on one stage. Peter returned to the Monkees a decade and a half later and they have a Monkees reunion tour. Peter felt exhausted and he left the group.
