Standard bass guitars have 4 strings (e,d,a,g) as opposed to the with a standard of 6 strings (e,a,d,g,b,e). In a band, the bassist is often the one in charge of keeping the rhythm between members fluent and stable, whilst a guitarist provides an upbeat riff for the song itself. Neither instrument is more difficult than the other, as even though the the bass only has 4 strings they are thicker than a standard guitar string. Whether one chooses either instrument is up to their playing style.

If you're not going to finger, you should at least use upstrokes while picking... It gives you way more control.

actually...i dont think so...because there are already 13 chapters in the manga and its still on-going. so, i guess if they 'do' decide to only play 13 episodes you can always start reading the manga.

If you want to learn either instrument its best to pick one or the other to start with... also don't think bass is easier to pick up than guitar, because bass in a lot of cases can be more technical than guitar.
