Never buy a cap people, period. They don't help. Either get a bigger front battery or get a sealed for the back. Look into kinetik, piwermaster, deka, or even optomas. Caps are useless

From the looks of it you need more air space in the sub enclosures... In a sealed enclosure you want 2.0 cubic feet, in a ported you want 3.25 cubic feet tuned to 32hz for best sound

i bought mah amp from a friend, its the T10001Bd amp, the silver kind, you can see mah system on mah channel, and mah subs, u just go look on craiglist, they got some nice and cheap system for sale, just negotiate the price with the person, cuz i got my subs with my ported box, the amp was low too cuz i knew the people that was selling it, but if your gon go buy the same amp, it might cost you about $250-$400 dollars..

all you need is your power 0/1 gauge wiring to go to your amp throughout the car, you dont need a second wire from the negative terminal because theirs no point as the ground wire which should be a 0/1 gauge the same as ur power wire thickness will be grounded to your car/chassis and this is equal to running a second wire from your battery =]

Nah, i did car stereo installation at circuit city at the time, paid 140 for each L7 and 360 for that amp. dont get much? my highs were clear as day, and bass was clean. and good luck building a good ported box in a single cab truck.

on this video that is the voltage, if your buying one you will probably be looking at the farad of the cap (the amount of power the cap can store related to the battery it is feeding off of) amp x volt = watt the more efficiently a amp can pull wattage out the less heat and better the sub will sound

They dont take up room at all. i can scoot the seat all the way back, i just cant lean it completely. the box length is only a little more than 7 inches. as for the battery, hook positive lead from battery under hood to new battery, then from there you go to positive on amp. new battery is like a bridge. then just ground your new battery to chassi, and ground amp to chassi and thats it. you can see it in the picture i have in the video.

If u want your amps not to even work that hard and for everything to sound a little clearer you can add a equalizer on your system preferably the clarion eq because they put out a 7V output to the amps....but still nice ass system man it caint get any better than kicker.

That is a high output, but my alpine, the entire reason i got it, is its 4V preout. not as much as 7v, but usually when you get to 4,5 and 6 the difference isnt as noticable as when your jumping from 1.5 - 2,3,4.

i would say 1K is a little too much. i wouldnt go any higher than 850. you can use that amp, just keep the gain down a tad.

Rule of thumb is any sub you power it is recommended for the amp to overpower the sub by 10%. That means one 12 inch L7 at 750 RMS is best powered by an amp rated at a minimum of 750 + 10% (75) = 825 RMS.

First off, make sure the amp is 1 ohm stable.

If the sub is 2 ohm, wire it in Parallel.

if sub is 4 ohm, its not possible with only 1 driver.

to wire in parallel, Hook both negatives up together, and both positives together, then run each wire to the amp ( i assume its a monoblock amp ). i will post a link to a parallel diagram in the video discription for you.

I had to build the box to fit in a single cab so it is crazy lookin but it has the minimal airspace and the port size is about right. But at their loudest they only flex not even a whole inch so I figure Im not getting the most out of them. Anyone know how far them things are supposed to flex in a ported box?

they shoot flex pretty hard, but your only pushing them with 1500. 15's are 1k a piece, they can handle another 500 RMS, so they aren't being pushed to their full potential.
