they got quite hot, but nowhere near their max temperature (I think they were ~60-70°C). I can short circuit them for a minute without overheating or longer if you dare. Their max. rated temperature is 180/200°C.
yes, like I said. It is best if you can actually put your finger on the copper (aluminium :P) wire, just touching the white insulation around the windings is often not enough.
im just being sure cause the way you implied it is that yu just feel the core itself not the windings...sorry! just being sure im testin em the right way, cause burnt out mots suck lol :)

i judje my heat by feeling the windings, do u just feel the core? cause if so, then ive been running them for way under their their rated temp.

always check the windings, when the core gets anywhere near hot, the windings may be already melting X-(
