@best360gamer Sigma Lance Leader was piloting a Vulture (called a Mad Dog by the clans) and yes it was in the Mechwarrior 3 intro, but you will notice the arm mounts look different, the Mechwarrior 3 version is the original look.

AHAHA. I can't believe I found this game again the other day. Always loved the PPC sound and effect.

P.S. I cringed at the Vulture being PPC'd in the crotch, way overkill for just one Vulture against all those Nova Cats.

I have Mech2 (Doesn't work at the moment),

Mech2 Mercanaries, it's ok, and Mechwarrior 3 (And Pirate's Moon Expansion), and mech3 is by very far the most epic and fun game. I am about to install this one with it's expansion... is it worth it? It says there are new mechs and the comments below me include some I have never heard of.

Bit of an unconventional lance in the intro; a Vulture for the leader, backed up with a Shadow Cat, Cougar and possibly a Raven. I can't really see any set battlefield role for a unit like that. The Cougar and Raven are suited recon or light harassment work, the Shadow Cat's a bit of an all-rounder and the Vulture's best use is as long-range fire support. Then again, it's been a while since I've played this (and I never played online) so I could be wrong.

Steiner... The Dresari family are loyalists to Davion. See the palace as it pans past to the mechbay? Davion insignia shows up there

Oh and Spookler- I believe Venge is now no longer running online at all. I've seen some of the old Venge crews in Mercs PR1 and that's what they said happened.

MS had reportedly pulled Zone support for Mercs too, but it's still going... Yay. (praying for Mech 5 since 2005... lol)

MS has pulled support for this online, but you can still get the MekTek patch, they usually have a 100 or so players on at any time.
