Though noor jehan is praising faiz's poetry, but saying "mujh say pehli si mohabat meray mehboob na maang" is a poor way of talking about love. True love never diminishes, hence life's problems cannot effect true love, which is a mental condition.

Noor jehan is the greatest female singer of all times. She could easily take her voice to the fourth octave, which Lata, roshanara begum, asha, parveen sultana, etc cannot. She has done so in film mousiqar, "rassilay moray rassia najaria milaa" where she gives her moorkian in the fourth octave, which I have not heard any body else do. She is too polite and humble to call herself the greatest.

Madam Noor Jehan seems so friendly and open-minded. Lovely personality. I wish there were more interviews of her. Aside from the amazement of her voice, she is also amazing. Before when my Urdu was very weak, I never paid attention to "Mujhse Pehli Si Mohabbat". I always ignored it. It was until recently when I really thought about the meaning that I grew to love it immensely. Not a day passes when the poem isn't recited in my thoughts. Bahut khoob. This is first time I am listening to her songs and they are awesome. She can sing in such base voice which Lata doesn't have! That's something I love of P Susheela's voice too, the low pitch which can be so sweet on your ears...Lata's songs when she was in peak, were always set to high and very high pitches which makes them monotonous sometimes. Would love to hear more of Noor Jehan's.
