I really, really want to see this movie, but I just can't do it. My mom had breast cancer and got Herceptin, but the cancer spread to her brain, where the Herceptin couldn't get at it. I'm incredibly grateful to the doctor this movie is about for the two years my mother and I had left thanks to the drug he discovered, but just watching the trailer made me cry.

I've seen Living Proof and let me tell you, I enjoyed it immensely. It's good to know that there are alternatives to chemotherapy, which harms healthy cells as well as cancerous cell.

no I didn't see Amanda. but I saw the lead actor, Harry Connick Jr. I only worked during the last day of shooting. I was in the final scene. But it was fun. Can't wait to see it!

lol! i worked at the johnnson cancer center at ucla and know dennis slamon (the harry connick character). nice guy. nowhere near harry connick looks. i know they gotta make the characters appealing, but it cracks me up. the young, handsome doctor and his brilliant, beautiful assistant!!
