They both was raised by single-parents, both are multi-instrumentalists who taught themselves how to play, both sing and have sung at the White House. The main differences are one grew up in the hood, the other grew up in burbs. One can write and compose, the other can't or haven't tried. One is an accomplished artist, the other is an entertainer who makes millions for the record company.

Esperanza probally got offered dozens of chances to sign with a legit corporate record company but turned it down in favor of keeping her pure musical expression. Plus esperanza is a certified genius graduating college at 16 and teaching at a college. But rest assured people know her name now as the ARTIST that took the grammy from 2 overhyped POPSTARS.

@davidtauer I'm a total Espranza fan but to be fair, Esperanza and Bieber have a some things in common. They both was raised by single-parents, both are multi-instrumentalists who taught themselves how to play, both sing and have sung at the White House. The main differences are one grew up in the hood, the other grew up in burbs. One can write and compose, the other can't or haven't tried. One is an accomplished artist, the other is an entertainer who makes millions for the record company.

Who knew that a small Jazz musician i found about threw myspace 2 years ago would beat the guy who was all over the place and his face was everywhere... but we all knew she deserved it and im really happy for her!
