but if you look at the all around history, everything evil he did, had a good outcome, without him, the world would have fallento Tahkisis, (after all he made it possible for tanis's attack) so thouh he is evil, he is still good.

He did it because he saw the truth in Caramon's mind about what the future would hold for him if, and when, he won. Ruling over a dead world, completely alone with no hope ever for death or release. He stated something along those lines later in books to Palin, I believe.

Though he was dissuaded by Caramon and stayed in the Abyss, Raistlin left behind unconscionable damage that he helped to bring about. He left Krynn far worse off and only stayed in the abyss for himself.

Showing a little gratitude. What part is he to show gratitude for? Caramon appears and starts casting magic around the room. Caramon the handsome, the strong, the warrior - and now the Magic gifted one. While Raistlin is the sly one, the one in his shadow.

There are three possible outcomes to that scenario:

1. Raistlin's choice.

2. Despair.

3. Acceptence - which would lead to just giving up on life itself.

If wearing Black Robes equal to corrupted, then White Robes equal to naive.

About the robes and the colors, remember that part ? the conclave of the archmagi, one of them said something like : colors are not important anymore, as time goes by the differences just fade away, like a mountain in the mist. Raistlin was destined to be the sword of the Gods, but that doesn't mean he was good all along, don't you think? His intentions and his means just become darker, like the color of his cloak, could it be that black is the color that blood adquires in the end?

No, I don't remember that part. However I do disagree with them that colors aren't important - It's what seperate all them appart.

White Robes specialize in Abjuration and Divination.

Red Robes specialize in Illusion and Transmutation.

Black Robes specialize in Enchantment and Necromancy.

So yes, his intentions and means grew darker. He desired power to do away with his fragile health that would had killed him off as we see his health deterioate to just hours away from death when he teleports.

I'm sure I've read it somewhere, was it in " The soulforge " , in one of those tale books that have different chapters on them, or maybe on another one called "raistlin the crucible of magic" It was a conclave that inolved mages from the three orders and they talked about the near future : the return of the dragons, the upcoming war, the return of the old gods, and the person that played a very important part in all those events : Raistlin, the sword of the gods...

Keep in mind, they said "Sword of the Gods" which did not mean the weapon of good. there were gods of good and evil in the world. He would serve none, none but magic. Even Nuitari, I would say, never really could say that Raistlin served him.

I don't think Raistlin was good, or evil. He was, however, true to himself. He was himself, with no real lies about what he wanted to do. He wanted power, everyone knew that. He would do anything to get it, everyone knew that. He was true to himself.

Raistlin's alignment is actually Chaotic Evil. Will use anyone and anything to further ones own agenda. And no, I am not arguing that Raistlin is good, but he ain't either corrupted. But I do find his actions justified. HOWEVER the only race that Raistlin could be considered good against is the Aghar Dwarves, also known as the "Gully Dwarves" because he understands how it is to be the diffrent one.

Just like some of us can understand why Raistlin did as he did.

-Chronocles include: Dragon of the autom twilight, dragons of the winter night and dragons of spring dawning.

-Twins saga includes: Time of the Twins, War of the Twins, and the Test of the Twins.

-After that come the war of the souls : Dragons of Fallen sun, Dragons of Lost Star, and Dragons of Vanished Moon.

-After that Ameber and ash, then The the minotaur wars and so on...
