  • jimi comes down from heaven n smoke a fat jay with me

  • Jimi where did you go ?

  • And then he died....

  • man im hungry

  • I am "THE JOHNNY WALKER EXPERIENCE"

  • does anyone know why the song finishes in an abrupt way?, I mean, if does the song stop there or is cut?

  • @jhecnievas it was the last song he was worki8n befor his death this is the way they releasted it

  • @rainaroxy No matter I still Love it!

  • @jhecnievas

the abrupt ending seems to metaphor the way he left us...i dunno if that was on purpose

    or not...but that's how i hear it.

  • @huberttwiddle

since it was the last studio recording he ever did it's both ironic and sad

  • @jhecnievas

It's actually the last studio recording he ever did, as rainaroxy said, this is all that was available for release

  • @jhecnievas Yes, the reason that the song finishes abruptly is because the tape ran out. Jimi went into this blues and the engineer (maybe Eddie Kramer) quickly slammed on a tape which happened to be right at the end and that is it. Such a shame as this is one of the most melodic slow blues pieces that Jimi ever played.

  • @jhecnievas The tape simply ran out on Eddie kramer. They had been working in the studio that day (not very succesfully if i remember and then jimi started this and eddie hurridly put a new tape in and recorded this, the tape unfortunetly ran out :( One downside to the old tape days, this is quite a brilliant jam too

  • sexy song

  • Lord ! Here comes another Gem!

  • definitely hear alot of King Curtis influence on here. especially the licks around 1:15

  • "No description available"

    DAMN STRAIGHT!!!

  • it's funny how this sounds nothing like jimi and yet you can tell it's him. he's imitating bb king but it still sounds like him

  • This was Jimi's last recorded track at Electric Lady Studios before he flew out to London

  • can't stop listening... 40 years ago... holy shit!!!

  • RIP, Jimi.... thanks for everything....

  • I always found it ironic that this was Hendrix's last studio recording, and the tape gets cut short, just like Jimi's life. This was a beautiful piece of music and we'll never get to hear the end result. RIP Jimi.

  • just goes to show speed is nothing compared to note choice

  • this another smooth hendrix jam!! i love it!!

  • This was his last recording. It ran out of tape; that's why it ended like it did.

  • @JimmyGuitarist Just like Jimi. Pretty ironic.

  • the size of this song is perfect. this is hendrix just jammin. its a blues riff, but its as if every single note he chose was specifically designed to blow an orgasmic load into your ear and in my mind, this is music in its essence. its not always about the amount of the notes you can hit in a measure, its about the ones you choose to ride. If you think this song is short, listen to it 6 times. if you hear it like i do, it will make you harder than r. kelly in a ymca pool

  • @line1bass hahhahahahhahahahahahahha nicely said!!!!

  • @line1bass dood YOU ARE A GENIOUS!!! you are so right about how its not important how many notes you hit in the measure but the notes you choose to ride I have been thinkin this for some time and its so much more groovy to slow your self down and here the other instruments vibrate and add little fills i love it!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish this was longer... =[

  • kewl

  • his last ever studio recording so says wikipedia.
