@videofreek112 In written Japanese the "ki" with the opening is standard (what all kids in Japan learn). The "ki" without the opening came about for typing and printing. (The same goes for "sa"). So both are right.
There is actually no connected curve in "Ki". That connected curve was created when the character was created for typing or computer fonts. Same goes for "Sa". So follow the way I have it written.
I learned ki like this : き without the opening. wich is the right one??

@ShoyuJapanese There's no technical problem for computer fonts or typewriter to have the symbol ki with the opening.
