Oh come on guys, he's about 45, you tell me if Robert Plant could nail the final vocals of "Stairway to Heaven" like in his early days or if Ian Gillan could do the falsettos of "child in time" well when they both were the same age as Cornell.

They're great singers but they are human beings too, we live, get old and die.

His vocals chords are damaged so I think he should do what plant used to do: change the melody a little so he doesn't have to put much effort on his vocals.

i do know he has two ajustable cry baby's with a slat built over it, one cry baby to the lowest and one to the highest. listen to an example in the song calm like a bomb - rage against the machine.

oh, and he has some distortion but i dont know which.

He had a guitar on his lap and his delay pedal set to "slap-back" and, while writing notes for a song, he rapidly hit the strings with a pencil in his right hand. This produced a noise reminiscent of a helicopter. When Audioslave recorded this song, Morello did the same thing, with his Digitech Whammy set an octave lower, and using a flat hand to slap the strings.
