  • So sad it brings back memories of my trips to the World trade center in the decade before they were destroyed im still sad.

  • cool ! and how old !

  • Actually the music is just an instrumental open source song I found on YouTube, but it's based off the '70 s song "the Edmunds Fitzgerald" as far as I know, though the tune for that song could have been based off an old folk song. I thought it was a nice fit. I had originally chosen Frank Sinatra's song "Golden Moment", about living your golden moment that is your prime of life and making it count because that summer of your life is over before you know it, then it's " September" before you kno

  • @emajeski God, that ship sinking in the Great Lakes was sad. Sadder yet is because I live in Wisconsin. Good, sad song.

  • I live near Chicago, only a couple hours west, and I'm very dissatisfied with the Willis Tower thing. I didn't know they were planning to paint it grey, but it wouldn't surprise me. I'm really upset they are not building the spire. Isn't the whole draw and interest of the Chicago skyline based on the variety of styles and innovations over the years? It's not an architectural museum after all! They need to let it evolve and grow. A bit of change and excitement would be good for Chicago right now

  • i hate the construction of the new-one world trade center, under construction.

Bring World Trade Center Towers alive!!

  • It's amazing that a video almost 50 years old winds up on You Tube for the whole world to see. Thanks.

  • @hitek835 almost 40 not 50 lol

  • Beautiful. You get effects with the super8 that people pay good money for now. The shakiness of the camera gives it a romantic, almost ghostly quality. I especially like the Statue of Liberty against the blue sky w/white clouds. Love the music - what is it?

I was there in 1974, my high-school orchestra played in the WTC North Tower lobby. We played Mendelssohn Reformation Symphony, 4th mvmt is A Mighty Fortress Is Our God ... Good memories!!! Thanks

  • ironically the first 9/11 happened in 1973.

  • @myjunk081 Think again the Black Hand attempted to assassinate the royal couple, Aleksandar Obrenović and Draga Mašin on Sept 11th 1901 !

  • @Myrlin187 no, even longer than that! back in the war of 1812, the british burned the white house on 9/11/1814 !

  • @stryderzer0 Cool ,thanks for reinforcing my point ! There is no telling just how far back this cartel reaches,I suspect it stretches back beyond the mists of recorded mainstream history !

  • wow 1973 wernet they still being built then

  • I wish we could go back in time and not just to have the tragedy not occur, but in some ways...I guess, simpler times. As an Illinois resident, I am excited about the revitalization of the Chicago waterfront. Some very exciting new architecture, like the Spire, are being built. NYC will always be the greatest in my mind, but I do hope they can figure out what to do soon. Right now, it's just a scar on the landscape.

  • @emajeski The Spire project was stopped, that tower would scar the iconic image of the Chicago Skyline. The Chicago Skyline is gonna be a mess, I heard they are considering to paint the Sears Tower(Willis Tower) Gray.

  • Rebuilding the Twin towers is the only way to make New York whole again!

  • @katakisLives no because people have been put off if they rebuild it people are going to be too scared to go in ther and everytime a plan flys past people are going to bee even more scared because they are goin to think its gnna crash

  • @katakisLives I'm sure the families would rather have their love ones back instead. NYC has always been a city of change, every year there's either been a building coming up or going down. Its sad to see the buildings gone, but its worst knowing some kid wont ever see a parent because of what happen.

  • 1081 architectural and engineering professionals

and 7076 other supporters including A&E students

have signed the petition demanding of Congress

    a truly independent investigation.

  • awesome video, Thank you for sharing.

I dont think they should rebuild the towers, as beautiful as it was, it's remains as a painful scar for many, it's time to move on with our lives and place our eyes on the new tower that's going to be on that spot. The One World Trade Center

  • If I died in that towers, I would say as ghost the Twin Towers should be rebuild with the old lobby's of the Twin Towers as memorial.

Building new towers with some paradise memorials doesn't remember the victims! The Twin Towers 2 plan will show what happened that day..

  • And 9/11 families said the Twin Towers should be rebuild (Search Twin Towers 2 plan). Also father has spoken (Rebuild the Twin Towers for my son that died on that day. I would work in there, in the tower where my son died.)

  • @Abricialio that's very sad, it maked me closely to cry. I'm with you, the Twin Towers should be rebuilt now.

  • Great video, the city looks nice with the towers, good music for this video

  • How is it possible to don't rebuild them?

Then, these images are almost romantic: at the time the Twin Towers faced the Hudson waters directly, because the Financial Center wasn't build yet.

And the gothic windows of the first floors, facing the plaza, made it looks Piazza San Marco in Venice, in some ways...

  • Rebuild the Towers!

  • rebuild the sybolic wtc.

  • Thank you for uploading this, beautifull video.

  • You're welcome. I'm so happy to be able to share it with everyone who is interested. I just love it.

  • Awesome video; )

  • cool
