  • this being a 3/4 ton has a locking front diff avalible thru the aftermarket which the 1/2 ton gms dont. and the rear lockin diff in the gms locks in 2wd,4wd high or low it engages when 1 of the rear wheels start to slip. its a clutched style locker.and i would of had this in 4 high for this snow.you dont need it geared down low for this.i think he would find it did better in 4 high.

  • @snowmobilejon5000 Does the 1999 - 2006 versions (yukon, sierra, yukon XL..) have any advanced technology like you find in AWD Infiniti, Subaru, Audi....or is it just the all mighty V8 pushing power down to 4 wheels??

  • @ssj02 mighty V8 and one locking dif, it could however have the gm clutch system for the auto 4 wheel drive but that depends on the model and doesn't do crap for extreme off road use, on a ford the rear dif locks but idk which one on a gm, but one of them does lock in 4 low which in turn make all 4 tires power it not just the opposing 2
