if someone downloaded something (or whatever the hackers do) onto my phone, would i be able to see it in the storage or something? if so, can i just delete it?
i really think my phone is bugged the battery drains really fast even when i dont use it, i can just have it sat on the table and the heat from it is really really hot , i have noticed it sort of freezes sometimes and when i press any button it says call duration and the amount of time its been kind of frozen i have not noticed any noise from it tho, it also is a nokia 3g phone which was given to me by a friend what do you think am i being bugged i know he as the tec to do it
Or your phone is dying lol. I used to leave my phone on the charger for WAY too long. It actually got burned where the charger plugs in and fried the battery. Got a new battery but the phone kept dying really fast. It wasn't bugged, I just messed it up.
It is possible you're being bugged, but why would you be bugged? Crazy ex bf? Do you know too much information the gov't doesn't want you to leak? Most likely not, but you never know (cue x-files music)
My phone was tapped 4yrs ago..my sister British Csi came stayed at my house. I never spoke a word of my concern. She came up to me and stated "your phone is being tapped and went thru the explanation..I said I know. I was still skeptical until the P.I.s started stalking. It some sort of marital surveillence!?? We humans have to stop being ignorant of the possibilities. Because denial never resolves the problem. My sister states they make several arrests a year on phone tapping.
I believe my phone is bugged, but I do not have a smart phone nor do I have Internet access. I have a simple flip phone to keep in touch with my children and sister, other than that, I really do not care. Can simple cell phones be bugged or do they have to be smart phones and have Internet access?
Does the constant buzz happen when it's in the vicinity of switched on computer ? Or can it happen anywhere ? My phone sometimes gets the continual buzz when it's near to my pc, but not any other time.
Very usefull information. The only thing I think you might have overlooked, is the display. I like mine always on, bright, and that creates heat, and drains the battery.
I purposefully have phone sex, knowing the government is listening. I look forward to meeting them. I will make a national case out of it if they come to my door.

Is there software to prevent tapping?
I have a little white circle with another little red circle in the white one. It keeps coming up each time I'm doing anything on my phone. Also, my phone is acting like a programmed computer, it navigates through different action in a really unusual computerised way.

This is nothing, your television, computer and telephone are all surveilance devices and you are being watched in your home and personal life. Without your informed consent your Fouth Ammendment Right to Privacy has been taken away. The Patriot Act grants the Corporations/Government the authority to enter your home at any time without telling you. Secretly without your informed consent surveilance technology has been intergrated into the electronic devices you purchase and use everyday.
@alltvisanimated I wouldn't worry too much about televisions spying on you -- except for cable/satellite boxes and DVRs, which certainly can/do send info about your viewing habits back to the company. But conventional TVs and such don't have hidden microphones and cameras. Now, whether or not your computer's mic and/or camera get turned on when you don't expect it is another issue entirely.
@VortexTech As technology evolves forward, the differences between the devices we all use such as phones, computers, cameras and cable/satellite TELEVISION will become more intergrated and the difference between them less distinct. Also take into consideration the "EYE" on your TV that senses the signal for your remote control. How do you know what it is really peeping at.
@VortexTech It senses IR light signals coming from your remote. People who think that TVs spy on them are ludicrous idiots. The government has absolutely nothing to gain by spying on a nobody. And I'm sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but most of us, are nobodies. Seriously, the government has no reason to monitor you unless you're doing something shady. This does not mean I agree with the patriot act, in fact I'm against it. Come on people get real. Nobody gives a shit about you or what you do.
@xilix In the years since I produced this video, two things have changed a bit. First, the software to enable such bugging has become much more widely available. Second, the targets do seem to have broadened, with use of such software even in divorce cases when one spouse is trying to collect evidence on the other. The problem has definitely gotten bigger.
@VortexTech that guy is right thats why the government made us all get boxes to watch tv...thier now spying on us. our cumputers have a hidden mic in them as well.
Keep in mind too, not all tapped phone is government related. It's easy to bug a phone. There are software online that give access to this. The key is not leaving your phone around where others can upload firmware. If you suspect or catch someone doing this, report them to the police. It's illegal unless you're working for the FBI/CIA.
Careful with Vonage folks. I was being tapped and got them to stop harassing me. I call international to Thailand every day and they probably thought that was suspicious. I had to fight to get them to stop listening to me.
I hear the hang up or disconnect (beep beep) sound while I'm still talking with another person. It's as if I had 2 lines on and the other person hung up. it's happened several times while I was talking on the phone. I also have had my phone go static on me and turn off while my phone still had lots of battery to it. I'm worried because I have been stalked by several people. Does that sound like my phone is being hacked? How can I tell?
HHOOLLLLYY CRRRRAAAAAPPPP!!!!!!! I OPENED MINE UP AND IT HAD A BUG IN IT! ( NOT A INSECT KINDA BUG) I THREEW IT AT THE WALL AND BOUGHT A NEW ONE WITH A DIFFERENT CARRIER =]
i decided to check because something wierd happened to me me . I went to an eye specialist for a consultation. we begun through the basics screening formality for about 5 minutes and we were done. I was still waiting in the consultation room for further review when I heard my phone buzz to say I have a new voice mail.strange because I did not remember missing any phone call.nevertheless I decided to listen to the voice mail only to realise that my voice mail had a recorded conversation of me .
(resuming) my phone was on text mode as if I were sending a text to someone one I've never text before and the message was just this "*" (quotes, asterisk and quotes). I started backtracking, had I had the phone in my purse, perhaps it was crushed against something and the keys were pressed... NO! The steps required to find my phone in that manner would be absolutely deliberate. I know no one who would be interested in 'spying' on me. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!
@MarsBar2012 I've had that exact same text message sent to my phone. Also noticed that text messages I sent & recieved around that time were strangely delayed, (i.e a text was sent to me at 20.40 & I didn't recieve it until 21.35!) A text conversation I was having at the time, (sent 3 texts & recieved 3 texts) took about 4 hours with delays on all the texts!
Also when I went to make a call tonight in reply to text message there was a strange double-bleep before the ring tone....(con't)
I decided to do a search of these things because i know my phone well, have had it for three years. For the last three months it beeps as soon as I turn it on, it lights up on its own, I have to charge it a lot more often when I rarely use it (new battery too!) and it warms up. I've been suspicious about its behavior until this last strange thing which happened. I took my phone out of its case, and noticed it was on text mode (con't)...
@MarsBar2012 ...(con) Also I've noticed a double bleep just before the ring a couple of times when calling a mate....which just happens to be the same mate I was having a text conversation with on the night when I got the "*" message & delayed texts.(do text messages really get "lost" for 45 mins or are they being intercepted & monitored?)...Did you get any answers? (& Why is my first comment "Pending Approval"? Never had that before when I post on you tube! Approval from who?
@VortexTech yeah i wouldnt trust anything anymore.. im sure the tv has a camera in it too. There are other electronic devices said to have recording devices in them these days.. they want to know everything we say, do and where we go..
@SovereignBeing That's why there was a push to get the new tv technology out. The screen can be viewed both ways. keep it draped or in a closed cabinet. I don't have tv and keep my pc closed when it's not in use. I also put tape over the 'eye' on the pc.
@Koppurointi Echo is typically just bad hybrid paths in the network, or timing issues. Echo you don't need to be concerned about (other than the resulting poor call quality).
@Koppurointi when I worked 4 att, it would only have the echo sound when a supervisor was monitoring the call. so I take it the same way-when I hear the echo, I take it that I'm being monitored. fyi
@thehoodlum1919 Yes, modern 4G phones behave much the same way as described for 3G phones in the video. You probably will not be able to hear the distinctive "interference" sound, but other factors are similar to older phones.
many thanks friends. have had ALL of the aforementioned problems. GEEZ. oh well...now i know...gonna start screwing with the listeners. Gotta keep humor in everything.
Yo im bein tapped by this FBI guy. So today i called my friend and i heard the buzz and was like what the hell then 2mins later i got a call from a guy who said they worked for the fbi and they asked if i could talk to my dad and i told him no. then like 20mins ago my friend called me and was like wtf and hung up and txted me and told me my phone was bein tapped and like 2 mins later the same guy who said they worked for the fbi called me again but this time i didnt pick up. what do i do?
@Atpete12345 Doubt that it was the fbi. FBI don't call you making an announcement. And when they do let you know, they're at your front door. This sounds like someone that got access to your phone, added some firmware to it and hacked inside your phone.
i was playing half life2(look it up) and i heard the beepig sound and i thought it was something in the game. so i wasted all my bulets shooting in the dark...
i have been hearing the same male voice very clearly whispering things like "i love you" on my cell phone and i just got the phone like a month ago. I am scared. can someone please help me determine if someone is intercepting my phone or not?! Thank you.
every phone call u make is recorded pay phone cellphone home phone even txt there been doing it since 9:11 we have this place at pine gap witch the US & UK use 2 mointor its people
See my Bandwidth Bandits Telephone Issues links on my home page the mic is potentially allways on on all phones, they just get a warrent when it is evidence they want to use in court.
4:13 yeah Ive heard that sound many times (the pulse with the breaks in-between) and not even worry about it. I recently watched The Conversation now then!
This question goes for anyone here who might be able to correctly answer it. Q: Is the only way that someone can tap your phone by getting a hold of it or is there a way someone can tap it "remotely" -- without ever needing to even get near your phone????
This film is rather good. During the olympics games in China we where asked by the ******* to remove the battery of our cell phones. This is why the BlackB***** of the P******* of the US was a source of concern.
usarocks911 ... You clearly don't know about the UK's own monitoring service for all mobile telephones, and e-mails... maybe you should research frequency scanners... put 2 & 2 together... and im sure you can only imagine better things which can be used to monitor phone calls
lol Thank God the iPhone's firmware is Restricted to iTunes and can't have physical access, i mean you can't deploy a bug cuz it's sealed tight lol ! :D
I live in Britain and am on Three Mobile. I can't imagine anything like this happening here. The government monitors people like crazy in the USA. Here they couldn't care less, they are too wrapped up stealing tax payers money to buy new ponds and houses to care about whether there is a terrorist in London
Which Britain is this? The one I know is pushing a dangerous ID card scheme, has a surveillance CCTV camera for every 14 people with few controls on how images are used, and is pushing through draconian legislation for Internet monitoring and censorship, with vast new powers to fine and jail without even the intervention of the courts! That's the reality of the UK today, unfortunately.
@SerionMedia I hear you. But it's your privacy that's being invaded. Some people have a lot of time on their hands. And not all phone tap/hacks are government related. Voyeurs can be your neighbors or someone that you know.
I think USArocks911 (I hope that's not a 911 joke) is trolling Britain is, sadly, a police surveillance state with very little privacy. Lots of crime, very little privacy. It's not my country and they can do whatever the heck they want, but it's the land of big brother.
hey usarocks911, you are absolutely oblivious about your reality.
England is nicknamed in the technology community as the real 1984 (the dystopian novel): the most surveilled country in the world. Haven't you heard the latest news? Now the British government will have helicopter drones (adapted from the military) taking pictures of citizens and with cool capabilities like shooting tasers or microwaves remotely... Yeah, pretty much like the Orwellian world, huh?
Britons are filmed or photographed constantly whenever we leave our homes, yet still they can't solve most crimes from such surveillance (so what's its real point)? Then there's vehicle speed (and therefore location) monitoring on Motorways via licence plate reading/recording, monitoring of movements into the London traffic system. The UK is the most advanced 'Big Brother' nation on earth. Make a call to a friend using certain words and you'll see how 'surveillance-free' you really are (not).
Britain has lost more freedoms and is monitored more than it has ever been. The UK is the most monitored of Western nations.
DNA database, Vehicle database, tracking database, face recognition, number plate recognition, email and internet monitoring, the list keeps going on and on.
Now we have trial without jury!!
Big Brother is here. Britain is becoming a fascist state in all but name.
@usarocks911 Lol.. you are an idiot. If you give up freedom for security you will gain neither. This has been proven over an over again in wales and scotland.. also, the UK government lies more than they would have you believe. Why do you think firearms are banned?
@usarocks911 You are in the most watched country in the world. Yes we are highly monitored here... but Britain is easily the most heavily watched country in the world.
@usarocks911 well i think different i think my government and your government tap our phones. think about they have access to the satellite they can tap any call they want. our governments are no different. They all are corrupt thats why the want to force it to be a one world government.
EHHHHH, WRONG! England is the MOST surveillanced (video) country in the world. It is way easier to tap a cell phone than throwing up thousands of video cameras. Don't assume no one is watching.
I'm glad he threw in the truth there by saying "or peace activist" because we know the government is actually monitoring many peace movements as if they were terror suspects. Knowing how corrupt our government is though, it makes sense that they would see peace as their enemy & not their ally.
Did he just say mobster terrorist or peace activist? Does anyone else see the irony in that statement? I guess when they have to start rounding people up it will be good to know who the peace activists are.
America is not freedom they put chips in ur pass and maybe inside you to track ur every move they listen to every email every calls u do and they can call u a terrorist and arrest u for nothing and with no proof and they can still listen to u if ur phone is off and eaven more america sucks dick right now america has no freedom! you are not a free man if u live in america get it!
Luckily i don't carry my cell phone everywere, not to mention i only use my e-mail to get on forums and other things. As for freedom i can agree that it is very much limited.
tHE POWERS THAT BE CAN TRACK YOUR POSITION TO WITHIN A SQUARE METER USEING YOUR CELL PHONE AND YES YOU CAN BE BUGGED BY YOUR CELL PHONE. IF I CAUGHT A POLICE TYPE PERSON LISTENING IN ON ME THERE WOULD BE HELL TO PLAY I AINT NO TERROIST. I NEVER TRUST FONES AND MY BUSINESS IS MY BUSINESS..ANY ONE I CAUGHT SPYING ON ME CAN EXPECT ONLY THE WORST...
just keep your phone by a speaker at all times. some phones just have plain shitty battery life span. my new phone is the shittiest piece of shit you can buy. it dont last but 2-3 days of hardly any use.
this dude that was snitching somebody once showed me a bug on the phone he carries. inside the battery cover piece.
ok, my phone the lg dare by verizon has been acting up. My phone seems to get warmer and the battery lasts a day( used to last a week). Somtimes my phone will randomly turn off or light up whern in idle. But really if im being bugged what can i do. NOTHING. All i can do is watch what i say until it stops or i get a new phone but thanks for the video.
The best way to tell is when some one claims to be hard at work and comes home to tell you what you've said outloud to yourself - say you want 'coffee creamer' then like 'magic' they come home with 'coffee creamer'
*they can use anything from cell phones to bugging devices.
The government probably got little more than stuff like "Dude! I was at Pizza Hut! And I saw SHELLEY! Hey, you wanna go trip mallwalkers at Gwinnett Place?"
I don't use cell phones for talking to friends or Twittering. What do you have to hide?
The what I call "in between calls interference" cell phones make sounds like an old nintendo! I had to wrap my hi-fi in tinfoil and ground it once because the interfernce got so bad. No phones interference ever got th

MarsBar2012 1 year ago
@MarsBar2012 I've had that exact same text message sent to my phone. Also noticed that text messages I sent & recieved around that time were strangely delayed, (i.e a text was sent to me at 20.40 & I didn't recieve it until 21.35!) A text conversation I was having at the time, (sent 3 texts & recieved 3 texts) took about 4 hours with delays on all the texts!
Also when I went to make a call tonight in reply to text message there was a strange double-bleep before the ring tone....(con't)
netty0011 1 year ago
I decided to do a search of these things because i know my phone well, have had it for three years. For the last three months it beeps as soon as I turn it on, it lights up on its own, I have to charge it a lot more often when I rarely use it (new battery too!) and it warms up. I've been suspicious about its behavior until this last strange thing which happened. I took my phone out of its case, and noticed it was on text mode (con't)...
MarsBar2012 1 year ago
@MarsBar2012 ...(con) Also I've noticed a double bleep just before the ring a couple of times when calling a mate....which just happens to be the same mate I was having a text conversation with on the night when I got the "*" message & delayed texts.(do text messages really get "lost" for 45 mins or are they being intercepted & monitored?)...Did you get any answers? (& Why is my first comment "Pending Approval"? Never had that before when I post on you tube! Approval from who?

@SovereignBeing That's why there was a push to get the new tv technology out. The screen can be viewed both ways. keep it draped or in a closed cabinet. I don't have tv and keep my pc closed when it's not in use. I also put tape over the 'eye' on the pc.

What about the echo sound.??? You know when you can hear your own voice in the backround on phone conversation.
Koppurointi 1 year ago 12
@Koppurointi Echo is typically just bad hybrid paths in the network, or timing issues. Echo you don't need to be concerned about (other than the resulting poor call quality).
VortexTech 1 year ago
@Koppurointi when I worked 4 att, it would only have the echo sound when a supervisor was monitoring the call. so I take it the same way-when I hear the echo, I take it that I'm being monitored. fyi
melncord 11 months ago
@Koppurointi Typically cheap or failing hybrid circuits in the interfaces. Nothing to worry about in the vast majority of cases.
VortexTech 9 months ago
@VortexTech does this work for modern phones to since this was like 4 years ago
thehoodlum1919 6 months ago 2
@thehoodlum1919 Yes, modern 4G phones behave much the same way as described for 3G phones in the video. You probably will not be able to hear the distinctive "interference" sound, but other factors are similar to older phones.

@Atpete12345 Doubt that it was the fbi. FBI don't call you making an announcement. And when they do let you know, they're at your front door. This sounds like someone that got access to your phone, added some firmware to it and hacked inside your phone.

I live in Britain and am on Three Mobile. I can't imagine anything like this happening here. The government monitors people like crazy in the USA. Here they couldn't care less, they are too wrapped up stealing tax payers money to buy new ponds and houses to care about whether there is a terrorist in London
usarocks911 2 years ago
Which Britain is this? The one I know is pushing a dangerous ID card scheme, has a surveillance CCTV camera for every 14 people with few controls on how images are used, and is pushing through draconian legislation for Internet monitoring and censorship, with vast new powers to fine and jail without even the intervention of the courts! That's the reality of the UK today, unfortunately.

I think USArocks911 (I hope that's not a 911 joke) is trolling Britain is, sadly, a police surveillance state with very little privacy. Lots of crime, very little privacy. It's not my country and they can do whatever the heck they want, but it's the land of big brother.
DTownzz 2 years ago
hey usarocks911, you are absolutely oblivious about your reality.
Yeah, pretty much like the Orwellian world, huh?
quelorepario 1 year ago
you guys still have inteligence agencys like MI6, any government watches people of interest.
macabre12345 1 year ago
Britons are filmed or photographed constantly whenever we leave our homes, yet still they can't solve most crimes from such surveillance (so what's its real point)? Then there's vehicle speed (and therefore location) monitoring on Motorways via licence plate reading/recording, monitoring of movements into the London traffic system. The UK is the most advanced 'Big Brother' nation on earth. Make a call to a friend using certain words and you'll see how 'surveillance-free' you really are (not).
rspurdue 1 year ago

Have to agree with VT.
You must mean Little Britain in the pacific?
Britain has lost more freedoms and is monitored more than it has ever been. The UK is the most monitored of Western nations.
DNA database, Vehicle database, tracking database, face recognition, number plate recognition, email and internet monitoring, the list keeps going on and on.
Now we have trial without jury!!
Big Brother is here. Britain is becoming a fascist state in all but name.
smellybridge 1 year ago
@usarocks911 Lol.. you are an idiot. If you give up freedom for security you will gain neither. This has been proven over an over again in wales and scotland.. also, the UK government lies more than they would have you believe. Why do you think firearms are banned?

EHHHHH, WRONG! England is the MOST surveillanced (video) country in the world. It is way easier to tap a cell phone than throwing up thousands of video cameras. Don't assume no one is watching.
