Hip Hop's version of Earth Wind and Fire. Pure, raw, unbridled talent coming from the legendary Roots crew. Please, if you haven't already, cop this album and support amazing music.
I hate to say I like hip hop cuz people wud look at me sideways cuz I'm gay and people can be prejudiced.
I'm latino, grew up working class, never got into legal trouble and I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. However, I faced a lot of abuse and neglect as a child which led me to learning all my lessons the hard way as I grew into a man so I know struggle.
They took my time and mental health and almost my life.
Never hope for the best? Glad to know I'm not alone. Thanks for making real music.
@designatedkb I used to feel the same way as you cause I'm a hip hop head and i would get looked at sidways by people when I would tell em. I don't care now, when they ask what kind of music I like I just tell em "Mutha Fuckin Wu Tang!" cause i don't feel like explaining shit, lol.
I never gave The Roots a chance to listen to. I gave them a chance for this album and now I am in love with The Roots. I already bought "How i got over" and my homeboy got me Undun. The Roots has become of my fav group.

A captivating little foot.
It began somehow like that. I can never remember poetry. I've got it here. I'll show it to you later.
@Liquidmetal702 At this point, no one's sleepin' on them. They've been around long enough that people know who they are and what they do. Some simply choose not to fuck with them and to them I say, "Your loss"...BTW, happy new year's to ya...
HALLELUJAH! I'm in love with Hip-Hop again after years of resenting it, no matter where I looked, this album simply did it for me.

there is a thick layer of crap music preventing me from finding good music like this earlier.
Before now I haven't heard of the roots until my cousin brought me here.

This song is absolute perfection, on the bus on a cold night. Not just because of the bus references in the song mind.
