What is making the smoke at 00:45 seconds into the film? Did the bullet go thru the deer and hit the tree?
What is the bullet type?
Those deer can’t weigh more than 170 lbs. The kinetic energy of the 2735-grain bullet would be the same at a 200 lbs. weight being dropped on them just under 5000 Joules. If you hit any mass the deer will go down.

@bgibbyC130 I think the smoke was deer vapors hitting the trees behind them. The bullets are 375 grains with barnes tip.

it amazing what that rifle will do, but was I seeing right? They were hitting the deer just about anywhere and it was knocking them down!!??
