Very poorly filmed and the editing is even worse. Once he finally gets on to the code, this video becomes unwatchable because the camera stays on him most of the time.
So... he can not say "Basically"... he says "bAh-SICK-LEe". I just wonder why someone din't tell him... or maybe they did and that's why he OVER-uses this word. bAh-SICK-LEe, bAh-SICK-LEe, bAh-SICK-LEe, bAh-SICK-LEe.
He can say Bay (of pigs or piggies) but he can not say Basically.Instead he choose to sound like a sheep (Baaaahh, Baaahhh).
I can't listen to him when he made this choice of irritating people.

(1) 30 minutes of 'python has good books and open source' talk, which is 25 minutes too much
(2) this ruined it for me: the camera guy very quickly gets bored of looking at the code on the slides and cuts back to watching the speaker ... long before the speaker gets done with the slide. So he talks but you no longer have any idea what about!
Incorrect, if the user is highly advanced they can put a extra 2-3 years into a game to make it in python...A example is Battlefield 1943 was made in python by 200 people taking a total of 1 1/2 years
@klined Thats an amusing statement considering that almost the whole engine was lifted out of perl and put in to python. Most of the memory allocation algorithms was lifted from perl and implemented in to python.
This is awesome. I have been trying to figure out a role for Python in my own programming. I use PHP for most web programming on the server and Perl/BASH for all administration tasks. I believe that Python belongs more in a category with C++ and Java, which I use for general OO programming.

Nice scope, but has two drawbacks, one severe
(1) 30 minutes of 'python has good books and open source' talk, which is 25 minutes too much
(2) this ruined it for me: the camera guy very quickly gets bored of looking at the code on the slides and cuts back to watching the speaker ... long before the speaker gets done with the slide. So he talks but you no longer have any idea what about!

You have to use whatever the APIs of the console you're targeting require.
