There was a Birthday House LP released on the Musicor label, featuring the live actors & regular puppet characters; my brothers and I played it for years. The open had a live announcer with piano, jazz guitar and organ accompaniment.
Incidentally, "BIRTHDAY HOUSE" appeared on WNBC-TV's daily schedule from 1963 through '67 {it was briefly syndicated the last season it aired}- Paul Tripp had several children in attendance each day, with Ruth Enders [Mrs. Tripp], Tom Tichenor [puppet man/comedy relief] and Jan Lara [singer/storyteller] helping him celebrate somebody's birthday with songs, games, and occasional "educational" segments...very few examples of the show are known to exist.
I was curious, how many years did this animator do such bumpers, promos, openings (as in "Movie 4"), etc., for WNBC? It would appear that this "4" logo was in use to about 1970.
Also, there were others working on these type things as well who I never knew. By the time I showed up, the only 16 happening were some industrial films and not TV.
Glad you like it, however, even as this one slipped by last time around, I watched the whole video of the reel recently and there is no more WNBC on it. Unless I missed an ID in editing from the Hourly ID group, this has to be all of it.

I believe the staff announcer delivered these kind of voice-over over this "I.D. bumper":
"Paul Tripp invites you to the best birthday party on TV. Where? At 'BIRTHDAY HOUSE'- tomorrow morning at 9, here on Channel 4".
"It's a birthday party - and YOU'RE invited! Meet Paul Tripp at 'BIRTHDAY HOUSE'- Monday morning at 9, here on Channel 4".

I'm sure a lot longer than I would know; I would think 50's-60's. He didn't really discuss the past.
