When public education was established in the 1800's, there was no good education system set up, and no access to education for a majority of americans. Well I'm a Democrat and I would advocate a completely privatized school system. It's the biggest single chunk of my property tax bill and I'm sick of paying for socialized education. Make parents responsible to pay for the education and throw them in jail if they are irresponsible and unable to take care of their kids needs.

There is a big difference between public schools and public healthcare. Everyone has a right to an education, not everyone has the right to healthcare. They also don't have a right to drive a nice car, or own a great big house. There is a difference. In fact, people should take advantage of a public school system and go get educated, get a good job so they can afford healthcare, a car, or a nice house someday.

For the most part, these town hall meetings are a joke. They do almost nothing in terms of having a sensible debate or rational conversation. I watched the entire live coverage I was so annoyed by the people that were there. If they were all there to actually ask valid questions and expect answers, they would not waste so much time. I mean, think about it. They could have had more questions if it wasn't there at all. It was not constructive at all and shows the level of intelligence of people.

Now, I know that someone called Obama 'Hitler' in one of their questions, and the crowd was shouting like a mob. So I can easily imagine a situation where a troublemaker started going too far. It's certainly no comparison with the situation where a student got tasered at Republican public meeting last year.

You know that the Government is adopting a policy where if your health care costs are greater than what they determine to be the value of your life they refuse to pay? The answer here isn't Government. What right do they have to tell me when I should die? Instead, let Government offer incentives and tax cuts to private health care firms, lowering the cost and allowing the firms to increase benefits. Now there are plenty of opprotunities and ways people to get healthcare. You have to remember, a majority of people have healthcare, and are happy with their coverage. They also don't have a right to drive a nice car, or own a great big house. There is a difference. In fact, people should take advantage of a public school system and go get educated, get a good job so they can afford healthcare, a car, or a nice house someday.

Actually, CNN at first said that the people were actually Nazis, but if you look in the picture, there is a black guy holding the poster, not exactly a Nazi. The people with the picture were members of a Union with democratic leanings, upset because Obama isn't the person they thought they had voted for.

For the most part, these town hall meetings are a joke. They do almost nothing in terms of having a sensible debate or rational conversation. I watched the entire live coverage I was so annoyed by the people that were there. If they were all there to actually ask valid questions and expect answers, they would not waste so much time. I mean, think about it. They could have had more questions if it wasn't there at all. It was not constructive at all and shows the level of intelligence of people.
