just finished making this snow flake..im gonna try out the other snow flakes and make a vid response of all tutorials on snowflakes. will do it by next weekend hopefully. -=)
Teresa, I love all of your tutorials. I think I might have seen them all. As for the project I am proud of, I was inspired by your crocheted Christmas ball ornament cover. I made two as you show in your tutorial and then made two more using an idea I had. Instead of turning out like diamonds, mine looked like rectangles stacked on top of each other. Not bad for a first try. Thank you so much for your tutorials. I look forward to more!
Well, I adore watching your tutorials. I haven't made anything yet buy I have tried a few new stitches. I started crochet about 2 months ago and have made a blanket which wraps around me and my hubby..... it's just bigger than the size of a double bed. I have also made 4 large square cushion covers. Which are the reason I came to investigate on you tube. I had no idea how to sew them together.
I love your projects and they seem easy to follow so "Thank you" and I guess I am just proud I made something useful that is used by everyone in the family.... it's in the wash more than wrapped round us.... =) Happy Yule from UK xxx
This was very awesome, thanks for putting this up. I didn't do this with the thread, I've got very bad eye sight, so I did it with regular 4 ply with a G-hook, and it turned out really well. I'm proud of my snow flakes, and they're probably going on my Charlie Brown Tree this year. The thing I'm most proud of is the hat I made my mother for Christmas & her shell stitch scarf. =o)
@T3hR3dQu33n Thank you for mentioning that you worked this with yarn. Even though the tutorial is using thread, the snowflakes will be just as pretty with yarn.
Teresa, Hope this dont wound redundant, but will there be written instructions for this? I love it. I avhe used some of you patterns for snowflakes this year and given them away with my Christmas cards. ;-) thank you for the tutorials!!! you are awesome!
Do you have any tips on working with thread? I can never seem to get anthing to be even, and my thread stitches tend toward the loose side. Obviously I could just change hook size for that, but am I not pulling the stitches tight enough around the hook? Also, the head of the hooks seem smaller on the steel ones, do you find this to be true?
@calcrules To practice is the best way to create consistent tension with thread. The steel hooks are smaller. You may be using a steel hook that is to small for thread. I suggest that you try a little bit larger hook.

You lost me at "single crochet through the loop." Which loop is it? @__@
The video jumps so I don't see where you inserted the needle.

@SynestheticSoul You will need to provide an exact time code, so I have a better idea what you are talking about.

@tjw1963 It was at the beginning but I figured it out as I kept replaying it.
You have great videos, you show every thing very clearly. Thanks!

ARRGH! Everytime I get halfway finished with one of these, it always seems to be uneven and crooked on one side! What am I doing wrong?
