This album somewhat disappointed me in the sense that it seemed to lack emotion to me, and trust me, I've listened to it many, many times. It is a good album, don't get me wrong, I just didn't think it was anything special... for some reason it just didn't appeal to me, It just wasn't anything new like Ok Computer was, or KidA, then again nothing will EVER amount to those. I just miss all of the emotion that went into those songs, and I just feel like I'm missing that this time.
I really can't see where you're coming from here? Of all the songs on In Rainbows this and All I Need have to be some of the most emotional Radiohead songs I've ever heard.
It may be that you just cannot recognise it, or it may be that I'm the only one to get it (though I doubt that).
I didn't get most of the songs on In Rainbows at first, but after a few listens I truly got these songs. Maybe it it just a matter of opinion? I don't know, I just know that this song means a lot, to me and probably to Radiohead aswell.
Had to do this in 2 posts, I seem to have rambled... =P
I agree - they are all great songs, but it is understated (which probably reflects them all getting into middle-age). The understated sound, however, is appropriate for these songs and they are better for it. Jigsaw and 4-minute Warning were, however, far, far superior how they were played on Radiohead's live tour of 2006. It might be impossible for Radiohead to ever get close to the sheer heights of OK Computer ever again; how could they; it is probably one of the best albums of all time.
Although the sound quality is better, just a lil.

it might be a barrier that you might have to open, some can take more than weeks to get the music.
Every album had its ups and downs.
