@ced7497 To be fair, westwood came up with: Prism tanks, mirage tanks, attack dogs, apocalypse tanks which shoot missles and cannon balls, mind control, psi-attacks, genetically manipulated units, lethal squids & dolphins, jetpacks which work forever, tesla troopers, tesla tanks, desolators, terror drones, floating discs, magnetic tanks, time-traveling units, weather control devices and iron curtains which render anything invulnerable from a huge distance. BUT IT WAS AWESOME!

In RA2 days, a tactic in single player is to spam in terms of aircraft. Very, very useful if ur soviets, very, very, costly using harriers. Can't believe such tactics r still in use now.

the downside it it though is that it can only hit one enemy at a time unlike the soviet missile launcher's and the allied orbital cannons which, although they stay in place, can still damage everything that walks through the beam.

@johnsoncuiChina: I think I personally prefer the Orbital Cannons. They're amazing if you back them up with Gaurdian Tanks/Mirage Tanks. Oh, and don't forget some Apollo Fighters for Air Support. :)

yuri is some mastermind dude who was working with romanov in ra2 and betrayed them and came back in ra2s expansion called yuris revenge and dies at the end, he was a great character

When Red Alert 2 came out it came out with an expansion called *Yuri's Revenge* and thats when Yuri fought back so USA and Russia sided with one another and beat him. but few of the units and structures aren't very same at yr revenge, like gattling cannon it should be anti-personnel, aircraft, if it take some time it increase fire rate that could be scrap metal against vehicles, or in short strong vs air, vehicles and infantries

well personally i never like the gattling cannon i just used it for anti air and psi towers around my base but i do use the tank bunkers for the gat tanks for cheap anti air and anti infantry the kight tanks i gota say was pathetic in skirmish i try to avoid using yuri

yeah, it seems light tank wasn't very useful in skirmish.. apocalypse tank, battle fortress in ra2 was better than modern and improvised tanks for now.. if we include units, ra1 and aftermath like volkov it would be have big advantage to soviets against all other factions hehe, i wonder why red alert resurrection wasn't update any factions yet...

i think the main difference why all the whiny little kids say RA2 was better is because RA3 actually involves strategy, everything can be countered by something while in RA2 if you made enough apocalypse tanks you've already won since they were also anti air.

its way diff in the skirmish and multiplayer, you'll experience the losing/winning versions alot more
