RATM was one hell of a band in their prime, but Zack wasn't a singer. I'd have to call B-Real, Mike Shinoda, Chuck D, and Black Thought singers by that standard. They're emcees/frontmen. That aside, I love Zack's voice when he's rappin', but the guy can't sing. There's a video of him singing here on YouTube.

I'm a huge RATM fan, so I disagree with Cornell trying to fake rap his way onto a few RATM tracks, but it still sounds better than Zack trying to sing.

They're definitely the best of the rapping front men rock groups, that's undeniable. Everyone's opinion varies on the subject, but I think Cornell proves he's the better front man. The evidence is there -- anything he's ever been a part of was a success. Soungarden, Temple of the Dog, solo record, Audioslave, and now solo again with hits. ZacK floundered outside of RATM. But together, RATM are supreme gods of the rap/rock collaboration.
