I'd say the biggest difference from what I've seen so far of the two softwares is the amount of presence Amplitube has over Guitar Rig 4. It's undoubtedly true seeing this demo and a few others here on youtube. Now that said, I think the actual tone samples of Guitar Rig are a bit better than Amplitube. If you happen to run the software through a tube amp, the tube amp will automatically give you more presence anyway, so my vote goes more towards Guitar Rig 4. Good job man with the demo!

is the VG-99 software just for the hardware box or is it just software like guitar rig?
