hehe it's just stereoscopic without a 3d glasses. However as a camera has only one lens to record , the movie will only be recorded from one view. Thus we cannot see 3d in this movie:P but only when looking at the 3d TV with a stereoscopic movie. :)
How do they get the right one of the view to the right eye? Like this both pictures would get to both eyes and there would'nt be any stereoscopic effect. Please explain if you know it ;-)
@LordBelail Ah, good question, this is due to lenticular lenses or parallax barriers. These 2 methods are slightly different, but cause the same result; 3D without any head-gear or equivalent. The "lenticular lenses" exist out of an array of magnifying lenses, which (when viewed from different angles), magnifies different images, causing a 3D effect. The other method, "parallax barriers" exists out of a layer of slightly different precise slits, causing different views on the image.
Thanks for the explanation ;-). That seems great. I would like to see it in real but i unfortunaly don't know any shop or conferences here in germany that prvide something like this.
Yes Phillips uses a Lenicular screen but a parallax barrier is also possible. YouTube search for 'Para vision'. In this case i believe a parallax barrier is used because with a Lenicular screen you dont see those stripes.
it's on the market already for companies. Don't know the manufacture anymore. I threw the folders and brochures away after visiting the conference. I had also tried a virtual reality glaces (stereo scopic) but the movement was still with joystick, it pretty much sucked:) Some people will get sick of the strange movement too hehe. Overall quite fun to see those developments.
Wow, I wont even begin to try and explain the fail with this vid. Just so you know, you can't show 3D on a single lens camera.

@Eraknelo Search for "3D television" on Wikipedia, and then look under "Technologies" in that article :)

i do not think he is lying. on 0:20 you can see vertical stripes on the screen wich indecates they use a parrallax barrier.

It's impossible to recreate the real 3d viewing as in real life. The video just shows how the technology good be used in games or in films.

Soo true. Wish I had one though, probabbly cost A LOT!
