Kidd played defense on Kobe, Durant, Wade and Lebron. In your wildest dreams, Nash will never do that? Defense wins championships. Nash lacks that. Nash cant ever be a MAVERICK because he is a defensive liability. Especially when Terry and JJB are out there. Kidd is big enough to make up for JJB and terry's size. He is the perfect PG for this team. Nash can only shoot better than Kidd. Kidd can do everything else better. Wait Kidd shoots the 3 better than Nash. Nash just doesn't take as much.

John Stockton is truly the best point gaurd (if not the greatest player) ever. Stockton is not about the flashy alley-oops or no-look passes in the NBA today. He was about getting things done, that's why D-Will (as great of a player as he is) will never be like Stockton. Stockton was also tough as nails and never flopped like Jordan or Magic, Stockton got the bad end of the calls and never complained. And don't forget Stockton had more points than Magic so don't say Stockton couldn't score.

Let's put it this way, John Stockton was the best point guard of all time. He is the ALL TIME NBA leader in assists AND steals. This means he not only was the best teamate offensively but he provided the same spark on defense. I went ice skating with him when I was young and he was the most humble man of his social stature that I have ever met.
