  • That microwave brings back memories.

  • well why did she get out of the kitchen ??

  • - "I am bleeding all over the place!" - COME ON?! :S

  • That operator's voice is so soothing, I could listen to it all day.

  • @kymm00 I couldnot agree more with you, yes that dispatcher has a soothing voice and he did a fantastic job. That asshole robber stabbed her for $20, how stupid. Iam very glad she is ok. I like that snack she was fixing up, Nachos! my favorite. I only wish they caught that robber.

  • I feel so sorry fo her but im glad shes alright

  • why can't people not rob and kill

  • that was a classic amilance... those are nice

  • 3:13 now im hungry for McDonalds!XD

  • WAS THE BAD GUY EVER CAUGHT?

  • Her life turned around 360 degrees?

  • This segment honestly scares me. A similar thing happened at the Capitol when I was on a field trip with my girl scout troop. I remember everything was locked down and we couldn't leave while they found the man who shot the woman.

  • I would've told the guy to put the knife away and fight me for my belongings, but then again I'm not a female so that probably wouldn't work.

  • @LqrDrnkr757 he probably would have stabbed you if you were a guy.

  • Did the guy ever get cought?

  • I could never do the job of a 911 dispacher. I thought that would be something I was interested in, but I am terrible at multitasking, and cannot talk and type at the same time even.

  • @pierzedntattooed Most places make you have at least EMT-B to be a 911 Operator now, and even then they can still be stupid.

Like the dispatcher who, when I called for my sister's emotional emergency, asked me to justify that she really needed help.

I said "She's hearing voices telling her to kill herself." And I'd already said that, so I added "Get help NOW."

When a person tells you the victim is hearing voices telling her to kill herself, the dispatcher should NOT be asking further questions.

  • He has a soothing voice. I hope if I ever die someone like that will be on the other line

  • "my life has taken a 360 degree turnaround"- in other words, she's back where she's started. She meant 180. Oh well, we all make mistakes.

=) I'm just glad she's alive and God bless the men in women in uniform who help us.

  • All that over $20 Geeezz

  • William didn't say if the offender was caught or not. Does anyone on here know if he was ever arrested?

  • hi adam i made a "Hell segments" playlist that has segments like this one where people faced badguys along with danger.

  • poor woman and she should be greatful she is alive who cares about purses.she almost lost her life, and the burglar took 20 $ what a loser and stabbing her for $ 20

  • $15 $20 WOW!

THATS A big amount of money :P

  • waste

  • I live right across town from there. I wonder if she still lives in Lansing?

  • I refuse to believe that officers respond so poderously as portrayed here when attempting to force an entrance to help someone, however the idea of having female officers on patrol is bad. No matter how dedicated and brave they may be, they are not as physically able to deal with certain situations as male officers. Simple fact. Breaking down doors, chasing and tackling villains etc.

  • @Maxshard As a woman, I completely agree with you. I agree that in general men are physically stronger than women (my boyfriend can carry all kinds of heavy loads, handle tasks I can't, etc.) and in general, women are tougher than men. For instance, they can deal with painful things better than men can (childbirth, that certain monthly time) and are more tolerant of pain. Of course there are some of each that prove this wrong, but I agree that men are stronger, women are tougher.

  • @Maxshard i am a woman and agree with you 100%.

  • When Prima is reaching into her purse to take out money to give that burgler, I am betting she wished she pulled a gun from her purse to blow him away.

It's situations like this that I wish people that lived alone had a gun as protection--

But I am guessing Prima didn't expect someone to break in.

  • This episode aired on the day that I was born. Wow!

  • "Please don't take my purse!"

Be glad it was your purse, and not your life.

  • Your absolutely right Dorvel.

  • @DorvellTStewart

I agree. If that was me I'd say "Here take all my money, take whatever you want! Just leave me alone!"

  • did they ever get the guy that stabbed her?

  • did they ever get the person who stabbed her?

  • Twenty dollars?!

    O_o

    WTF?!

  • this is a really scary experience to go through

  • we drive by thoose houses all the time... creepy

  • poor woman

  • he stabbed her for $20. how pethetic

  • @richyloike *Pathetic

  • @richyloike Unfortunately, people have killed for less. Not a pretty world we live in.

  • This show makes me miss the 80's and 90's. Things seemed much better in the USA then.

  • did they found the guy ?

  • LOL

    a 360 degree turn around

  • did the robber just rip the money?

  • she just got stabbed and all she's worried about is her purse.

  • ok shes like "dont take my purse"

Then the robber gave her her purse he still took the money, put you know!

  • Everythime i watch something like this and blood is involved, its like my finger can't bend or function right, they stay frozen in like a cramp way.

  • I get the same thing! Although i feel REALLY weak and can't do much

  • also sometimes my knees buckle for some reason or i can't move right.

  • how can she talk if she was stabbed in the chest?

  • Using whats left of her breatheing, and also some people know how to fight through the pain.

  • i heard that stabbings dont really hurt at first, it feels like a punch. i think it has something to do with the adrenalin.

  • I love that guy talking at end

  • What happened to the guy who stabbed her?

  • That's awful - may god bless her.

  • They never caught the suspect.

  • Well, Lansing is a big town.

  • When I first saw this about three years ago, I saw the Capitol Building and thought it was Washington, D.C.. (They both really look alike)

  • I live 1 hour away from Lansing!!

  • lmao she is more worried about her purse then her life. hahaa.

  • i live near michigan!

  • KidsTVFan1,

Just so you know, you're slightly mistaken. You're one day too early. This happened on October 16th, 1988.

  • I remember the episode where a lady was stabbed by her boyfriend in Wolcott, CT. Before they showed that one, they said, "This may be too intense for some viewers." They should have said that for this one too. It is disturbing to watch.

  • no shatner would say this story maybe too intense for some viewers when kids are involved in the stabbing of an adult, have you seen segment 4 of #604?

  • hey was this in the Lansing Newspaper "Stabbing Makes RESCUE 9-1-1- segment"?

  • it's amazing how calm she was on the phone - and the details she remembered!

  • This event happened when "Barney and the Backyard Gang: The Backyard Show" was released that same day (October 15, 1988)

  • I used to watch this show when I was a kid (probably 6 or 7) and the burglar segments terrified me. Still make me uneasy.

  • Does anyone know if they ever caught the guy cause they never tell

  • wow, the acting was HORRIBLE.

  • c gore

  • I am just wondering did they ever catch the guy who stabbed her?? I hope so

  • I grew up in Lansing, Michigan. They never said anything as to what happened to the stabber after the incident. Did he get caught?

  • What's a beanie?

  • The type of hat he was wearing.

  • @allgood2000 my priest wears a beanie

  • @happy7117 its like what they wear when its called or kids wear it when they have cancer

  • What a horrible person, who would stab someone for $20 and a beer?

  • its a crazy world out there heck they wuold do it for a penny

  • OHH,I could just stab that man with my sword!

  • damn i fell bad 4 that lady, she jus got home and wanted a snack! i that asshole dies!!! thank god she lived!

  • I HATE burglars, too! I am happy that she made it too.

  • They Never Caught The Burglar.

  • I'm glad they stopped saying "Actors helped us reconstruct the scene."

  • This is scary But I'm glad she's okay

  • haha did you hear what she said at 2:28? He asked who stabbed her and she said a "f*****G n***ar!" How rude!!!

  • cut off his nuts!!!

  • what a stupid burglar! that fucking idiot! thanks for stabbing a woman you fucking motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you have people competing for the same job - a man and a woman - and the woman spends extra time in the gym because she is insecure with her femininity, then the man who wants the same job can see this and say "I want the job, so I am going to compete for it by going to the gym and outperforming this woman who is obviously so insecure with her femininity that she goes to the gym to compete with men for what is naturally men's work."

    Get it, lefty?

  • I get that I won this debate about three posts in. It's so obvious that you also know you've been beaten because you're trying to change the argument. The achievable strength of a man versus a woman is irrelevant to whether women should serve as police officers. As long as a woman can acheieve the physical stregth requiredto perform her tasks effectively, the "extra" stregth of a man is irrelevant. Especially since the majority of police tasks do not involve upper body stregth.

  • You didn't any debates on this planet. Men are stronger than women. Strength is a necessary attribute of field police work. Men are stronger than women. If a feminist dyke wants to try to compete with men for the job, the men would outperform her. There would be no room for women to be police officers because there would always be a man who can outperform her. Women would never get their foot in the door. You need affirmative action and preferential treatment for women to be on the force.

  • If the strength and spatial/visual intelligence of women made them unfit for police work, their performance evaluations would reflect that. They do not. You'll never win this because you have no evidence that women do not perform effectively as police officers. You lose, and you are wrong. Get over it.

  • I know what it takes to be a police officer because it is obvious to people with whole brains. People with half-brains, however, have difficulty understanding how preferential treatment has scarred the police force so that they can appear to be as meritorious as men. It is not only that women are given preferential treatment; non-whites are given preferential treatment. It's called "affirmative action," and if it weren't for that, there wouldn't be one woman on the force.

  • Three tests that every police department and sheriff should have is a) the strength test, b) the wrestling test, and c) the reasoning skills test. With these tests in place, women cannot outperform men in a free market. Period. Game over. You lose. Give it up, woman.

  • Are you an idiot? If women could not pass those tests, there would not be female police officers. Quite simple, really.

You just made yourself look three times as idiotic as you did in your first post.

  • Ad hominem is not going to help you. Calling people idiots is not going to make you right.

How many times do I have to tell you that there is such a thing in this universe called "affirmative action." Preferential treatment awards women jobs they do not deserve by not testing them fairly. You obviously didn't read--or comprehend--my other comment.

Your mud slinging isn't going to help you with this one, woman.

  • I already am right. Pointing out that you're an idiot is just a side bonus.

You can tell me about affirmative action all day, but it's completely irrelevant. If unqualified women were given an unfair advantage in police testing, you would see them sucking at their jobs. Where do you see this?

  • I can tell you stories from my father who worked for the LAPD for ten years, lady. Indeed, my step-mother was a cop. She retired because she snapped out of her liberal stupor.

Look, lady. I've had enough fun with you. Your views are dangerous, and Marxism and its handmaiden affirmative action will eventually go out of fashion.

    stm . typepad . com

  • Offer up some evidence that shows that women in general perform less effectively as police officers than men do.

If you refuse to do this, you are essentially admitting that your statement, "women should not be police officers" has no basis in truth.

  • I do not say that a rule should be made that says that women should not be police officers. I say that it just wouldn't happen in a world free of evil leftist politicians who put everyone in danger with affirmative action. There is no scientific study that backs up what you say, because you have not referred to a study in which there are two worlds: one with affirmative action, and one without affirmative action. However, you do have history to back me up. Women were never sheriffs, were they?

  • You said, and I quote you for the ump-teenth time, "women should not be police officers". You are making new statements and trying to defend them to compensate for not being able to defend your original statement.

    ncjrs . gov / policing / fem635 . htm

    fdle . state . fl . us / FCJEI / SLP%20papers / Horne2%20 . pdf

    Read 'em and weep.

  • There are two ways to interpret the statement "women should not be police officers." You can interpret that to mean that women should be prevented by law from being police officers, and that women would not be police officers in a moral world, so it is wrong for there to be women police officers?

Now for the second lesson. 1+1=2.

    Any questions?

  • Apropos the PDF, it says nothing that supports your implication that strength and visual-spatial intelligence are negligible factors of police work. They are MAJOR factors of police work, and women have less of it. Women would not be on the force if not for affirmative action. Period.

  • Based on the context of the discussion, it's pretty evident that what you meant was that women, by default, are not qualified to be cops.

On the pdf, start on page 2 at the LITERATURE REVIEW section and read to about halfway down page four. To sum it up for you, they all found that women were meeting the demands of police work. Affirmative action has nothing to do with a woman's ability perform effectively as an offcier, so brining it up is a waste of your time.

  • The fact that affirmative action even exists is ipso facto proof that women and non-whites are getting jobs that they do not deserve. Again 1+1=2. It's pretty simple, my friend. I appreciate the lengths that you have taken to defend your position. This shows that at least you WANT to be right. But Marxism has indeed contaminated your thoughts. It is a philosophical-political issue as much as it is a biological-physical issue.

  • Also, I'm not implying that strength and spatial intelligence are negligible factors for police work. I am implying that female cops have sufficient strength and spatial intelligence to do police work. If they did not, the studies would show that they don't perform effectively as police officers.

  • You have difficulty with economic reasoning. There is no such thing as "sufficient strength and spatial intelligence." You are not understanding the economic context of which we speak. In a free world there would be competition for a limited amount of jobs. The dykes who want to be police officers would compete with men for the limited positions available, and they would fail. So, naturally, without force or fiat, women would not get their pretty little feet in the door.

  • You still have not provided evedence that demonstrates that women do not perform effectively as police officers, which means you lose. Since you want to be right about something so badly, you said that affirmative action is the reason that women were able to become police officers. That is true and I never said it wasn't, but it doesn't change the fact that your original statement is refuted by what has been demonstrated again and again.

Let me spell it out for you: Y-O-U L-O-S-E

  • you're such an idiot and you totally miss the point of the show

  • I can tell that you are a woman because of the way you write. "It is so obvious..." "It is, like, so totally obvious that I won this debate." Either that, or you're a man who is missing a testicle.

  • You are childish to even argue about who won an internet fight.

  • First of all, the woman should've be living with her brother; she should have a husband. Second of all, notice that they didn't air the part where he asks "white, hispanic, or black," because they are trying to be Marxist and hide the fact that the intruder was black. Third of all, women should not be police officers. They just get in the way.

  • Wow, I was going to type out a long comment in response to your racist/sexist nonsense, but you're far to ignorant to be deserving of that. From reading your other comments, I can tell that your intelligence is pretty well below average.

  • Obviously, you don't know the meaning of the word "intelligence." Racism is honesty about race, and sexism is honesty about gender. I am honest about the fact that women should not be police officers because they do not have the upper body strength and the visual/spatial intelligence to make good police officers.

Wow, like I really care what you think. Thanks for the videos, but you are just another liberal fool who can't handle honesty about race and gender.

  • First of all, if they didn't want you know the intruder was black, he wouldn't have been portrayed by a black actor. I think it just kills your racism hard-on that they didn't make a bigger deal out of it.

  • Racism is honesty about race. How can my honesty about race be killed?

I honestly see the double standard in the media of how they have no qualms mentioning that an criminal is white, but when the intruder is black ... Well, we don't want to start a race riot, now do we? We don't want Rev. Jesse Jackson whining about the "racism" on TV that the race of the intruder was mentioned.

    Bunch of liberal sissies.

  • Research was done when women were first entering law enforcement to make sure that they could perform effectively as police officers. Evaluations of female and male officers did not differ significantly. I can't post the link in this comment box, but I could PM it to you if you'd like.

I can handle honesty about race and gender, but I can't handle stupid people sucking up the good air. Next time, make sure the facts support your silly convictions.

  • Research? What research? Research done at Politically Correct University? Or are you so brainwashed by the feminist media that you have completely forgotten that women do not have the upper body strength of men? Or the visual/spatial intelligence of men?

Just keep pumping out the videos and keep your silly liberal illusions to yourself.

  • These findings came from:

    Washington, DC Police Foundation

Journal of Police Science and Administration

Washington, DC National Institute of Law

Enforcement and Criminal Justice, U.S. Department of Justice

    Police Studies

If you want me to keep my "silly liberal illusions" (which are conveniently supported by the facts) to myself, then I suggest you keep your backward conservative biases to yourself and get with the times.

  • Wow. They found that women have the same upper body strength as men, and they can tackle and arrest and fight and handle bad guys as well as men?

These findings are flawed, for this cannot possibly be ... even if most women cops are not really women, but lesbians.

  • They reported that many male officers surveyed in the 1970s shared your opinions, but performance evaluations of female officers did not reflect that this.

The spatial intelligence thing is an overgeneralization. It is a trend, not a rule.

I'm sorry, but I don't have to ignore the facts to support my arguments. You try and make excuses to get around them, and all you can cite is your own personal reasoning. I win, you lose. End of story. (or is it?)

  • My conservative biases are very much forward, and your liberal biases are very much backward. Don't get with the times, for cultures do not necessarily improve over time. Get with the truth, and keep your silly liberal views to yourself. Thanks for the videos though!

  • I'm sorry, get with the truth?! I don't see you making any effort to get with the truth. I don't argue to this extent without being able to back up what I'm saying. You, on the other hand, make statements that directly contradict the facts and then tell ME to seek the truth. I love how you're such an outrageous hypocrite, yet you still manage to take yourself seriously. Hope you enjoyed the videos!

  • You must be a very confused person if you think that everything called a "scientific study" is scientific. 90% of the "findings" made by "scientific studies" are flawed.

I am one with the truth, and the truth is that male bodies are more suitable for field police work. Women are weaker than men, and that is a fact. It is you who are not one with the truth. Get with the truth, buddy.

Yes, thanks for the videos. But your views are wrong and dangerous.

  • "the truth is that male bodies are more suitable for field police work."

More suitable, perhaps, but women are not incapable of perfoming the same tasks. Five studies found the same thing, the only thing that's 90% flawed is your argument. You have not offered any informaton that suggests your hypothesis is correct. Until then, you lose.

"But your views are wrong and dangerous."

I'm pretty sure than anyone with half a brain would say that that statement applies to you, not me.

  • You even admit that men are more suitable for the job than women! Case dismissed. I'm finished debating someone who admits he or she agrees with me. (I wish I can peg your gender, but I can't.)

And you're right. Anyone with half a brain would say that statement applies to me instead of you. But anyone with a whole brain would say that statement applies to you.

Have a good one, man or woman!

  • I said PERHAPS male bodies are more suitable, meaning it would be less work for the average man to meet the physical standards needed for police work. It is still doable for the average woman, it just requires more work on her part. This whole argument is about, "women should not be police officers". I never agreed with that. You're picking what you want to out of my post and ignoring the rest, like you probably do with the bible.

  • I don't adhere to the Bible, prejudicial liberal. I admire it as a work of literature.

  • Okay, let me spell it out for you. In a world free of affirmative action and preferential treatment, women could never be police officers because if they work out to try to 'catch up' to men, the men would just work out and surpass the woman. Get it? It's very simple concept. Even people with half a brain can understand it.

  • Hypothetically, I get the concept. However, you lost me when you suggested this would actually happen. No man I know of, exept possibly you, is so insecure about his masculinity that he is going to spend extra time at the gym to keep a woman from being equally strong.

  • visual/spatial intelligence? i could sort of see the upper body strength thing... but men and women have the same intelligence. no ifs ands or buts.

  • Man this is some freaky music in this segment. This is a great show that should be brought back to television or made in to dvds.

  • This is another segment from a 30-minute syndicated show that I have on tape.

  • go to tvshowsondvd, com and vote on rescue 911 to come out on dvd ,rescue 911 has 434 votes to come out on dvd,

  • a woman got stabbed for 20$ in cash i swear if i was the cop i would stab the guy for being a dee dee deeee!!! :P

  • oops i meant slap not stab :P

  • What has society come to? People so desperate for money that they robe people often killing people.

  • They never found the suspect?

  • i tihnk r 911 still airs or inless there license was up idk!

  • for how many people has watched this it would be out on dvd,it only takes 3000 votes for rescue 911 to come out on dvd , tvshowsondvd . com

  • don't take my purse? id say fuck my ourse gave it, it's not worth dying for!

  • yeah exactly

  • She said during the 911 call, "he drank a beer". I don't think we saw him drink a beer. Was the shadow at 1:00 a beer bottle perhaps??

  • I think so. She said he left it there.

  • Now I am a scaredy cat. Just going to go and check that everything is locked.

  • Ah, don't bother, you know they'll just break out the window. ;)

  • That is true, but at least I will hear that happening if I am home and then I can dong them on the head with a fire extinguisher as they crawl through it. He he he xoxo

  • What was the first "Actors have helped us reenact/construct the events segment?

  • Probably "Arlington 9-1-1" from the pilot. The baby toss also says it, but I don't know if it aired on the pilot.

  • They are all actors.

  • ooh, a comfortable town house!

these shatner intros crack me up.

  • This one is in the book "RESCUE 9-1-1- EXTROARDINARY STORIES" titled "LANSING STABBING"

  • oh man.... something i've always been scared of... but i dont think hitchcock himself could have done a better screenwrite for this.. except when she gave him the money... the acting kinda sucked.

  • Yeah, one time this segment was on while I was on the phone with a friend, and she though I was watching a horror movie.

  • Michigan Rescues on Rescue 9-1-1- are the greatest segments because not only the show itself films only in california they had episodes that are around the world

  • How can a person with all those stab wounds be able to stay alive like that??

  • She was only stabbed once, she was probably able to control the bleeding until the paramedics got there.

  • This is something I had always been paranoid of...Some incident occuring like this.
