For the reasons mentioned in this video, lots of Saudi (able) women like to vacation in the other Gulf countries in the weekend to let their hair down and dress in more comfortable clothes. And she's right, women have virtually no political rights in Saudi but also in some other parts of the Middle East--In Lebanon women needed the permission of their fathers to leave the country back in the 90s...I don't know if it's still like that.

This might sound strange to you because your type of life style is loose with no family values, but in Islam, each person has their role in life, each helps the other, and each has a right upon the other. Islam values family life, and protects it. This does not mean that women can't enjoy themselves, but they also have a duty in the family, the same as the man has a duty, even men can't always choose when to enjoy themselves and are not free to do as they like, they also have to work.
Now imagine if the wife is to travel to other places without the husband's permission, or goes against his will. Who is then to take care of the husband's needs when he comes home tired from working to provide for her needs. He works hard to provide for her and she neglects him, leaving him hungry and alone, this type of person is an ungreatful person.
In Islam both women and men have rights upon each other. Men are to provide for all the women living under them, women do not need to provide for anyone, not even for themselves, it is all the man's job, and it doesn't matter if she was rich, she can do whatever she likes with her money and doesn't have to give a penny to her husband or any other person, and he is not allowed to take it from her by force, but if she helps her husband if he is in need then she would get rewarded in the hereafter.
Yes, we are slaves, we are slaves of God, we are to obey everything He commands us to do, and He ordered us to be modest and to obey our husbands except if they order us to do something that is disobediance to God, then we do not obey our husbands in that. Also, I don't see the big deal in her not being able to freely mix with non-mahram men (men who she is able to marry) as long as she gets what she needs and is able to meet with them if necessary. Also, freedom has limits, I believe it is natural that one is to obey his parents. And in the case of the husband, I don't think many husband any where in the world would accept that their wives go travel to any country without them knowning and accepting it.

Her doing what she desires, which is not obligated upon her, does not give her the right to neglect her duty. If the husband is working hard to fufill his duty and her right upon him, then she should also being fulfiling her duty towards him, that is only fair... like I said, to you this is strange, because in ur society men are not obligated to provide for women.

Islam values family life, and protects it. In Islam both women and men have rights upon each other. Men are to provide for all the women living under them, women do not need to provide for anyone, not even for themselves, it is all the man's job, and it doesn't matter if she was rich, she can do whatever she likes with her money and doesn't have to give a penny to her husband or any other person, and he is not allowed to take it from her by force, but if she helps her husband if he is in need then she would get rewarded in the hereafter.

At the same time, God gave us women rights which men (including our husbands) are not to take away from us, and if they did, we are to take it up to court and get our right.

Also, I don't see the big deal in her not being able to freely mix with non-mahram men (men who she is able to marry) as long as she gets what she needs and is able to meet with them if necessary. It is not like she can't freely be with her male relatives (whom she is not able to marry such as her father, brothers, uncles, grandparents ..etc.), or is not able to speak to them if necessary as long as she is modest in her dress and speech.

سموا الأشياء بمسمياتها.

As a Saudi.. a working women driving a car doesn't scare me. more cars on the road scares me.. we all know that we have a lot of irressponsible young men and women with 50% of our population under 16 years old, there are reckless drivers who have no jobs and living off daddy's money wrecking cars & killing people.
While women driving is welcomed by me, I don't really care about the issue! the real issue is lack of public transportaion! We need trains, busses. planning, deal with that instead!

انا طول الفديو اقول كل شيء تقوله معقول الا لما شفتها زعلانه انهم مفرقين النساء عن الرجال في العمل !!!
هذا مب مكان عملك اولا ثانيا اذا نبغى نطالب بالحريه لازم تكون عامه يعني الى تبي تشتغل في اماكن مختلطه برايها وفي نفس الوقت لما نشوف نساء لا يريدون الاختلاط لازم نحترم خصوصيتهم وهذه ايضا حريه

الله يصلح ابتهال ( متحمسه مرررررره وتتوقع انها اذا سبت الوضع في السعوديه ان امريكا بيغيرون الوضع للأفضل ) وهذا اكبر غلط !! عموما حبيت لو انها ناقشت مواضيع مهمه اكثر من كذا

اتحداك تجيب دليل واحد يحرم عمل النساءفي اماكن عمل مختلطة. واتحداك تجيب دليل واحد يقول علوم القبائل لها اهمية.بالعكس حتلقى ادلة كثيرة تحذر من التعصب القبلي وستجد ان النساء يحق لهن العمل في اي مجال بشرط ان تحافظ على هويتها الاسلامية وتهتم ببيتها.
