That's exactly how my rear end came off all in one piece. I was hit while stopped in traffic and the chick was going about 40 to 45 mph. The entire bumper came off. 10,000.00 for parts and labor. Very cool car I love my Scion and was surprised they didn't total it. Parts were 3,500.00 labor the the balance of 7,000.00. Damn!!!! Just got it back and it's cherry, "black cherry pearl" to be specific. Peace.

I was rear ended by girl that was going 45 to 50 mph and did use brakes. My cars entire rear bumper came off along with the tailpipe. In the end it was completely repaired by her insurance company of course. As far as safety, well being rear ended wasn't too bad. I got whiplash but got that handled through her insurance as well. I own a 2005 tC. Love it.
