I hope they do a dissidia 011. . . and hopefully they can not just recycle 012 and 013, but maybe perhaps include new characters into them.

The 2nd one did good staying up tie board for top 10 games for atleast two months! And was the best in psp for even longer! I'm not as considered about the storyline as I am the actual characters btw I heard seifer from ff8 will be in this one

Also,while Nomura said that he wants Terra as the protagonist for VI,VI wasn't his game.He has more say on this than me,some random nobody on the internet,but I want him to leave VI alone as much as possible after seeing what he did to Terra,and even Kefka,though he was handled better.In any case,keeping Terra as the protagonist doesn't mean he can't find a use for Locke or Celes,but I'd prefer Shadow,just because Nomura would have to try to screw him up.
Xande?Eh,I guess that could work if they gave him a personality for Dissidia like they did with Firion,Onion Knight,etc.Most of your choices just seem wrong,even with your provided reasoning,no offense.Gau is one of the bigger offenders here,at least for me.While they are going to be looking at movesets,what's more important is that the character has a solid reason to be there,which Gau just doesn't.I'd sooner pick Gestahl,just because having him,Kefka,and Meteus in the same game would be funny.
I totally agree with your list, and though I see why Dysley, I still can't help but go for Cid. Even though he was a puppet, he would make a more practical Villain. Think how they did it for 10 in the game with Tidus and Jecht (tho...get WAS technically the baddy), but Jecht himself wasn't evil, like Cid. So that's my only dispute.
Okay I've been thinking about it and I've come up with this list: Faris as a blue mage, steiner (who has the same attacks as Beatrix) plays opposite to Gabranths EXecutioner role and plays as a more assist combo character and has Vivi as an exclusive assist, Shadow on chaos' side, Seiffer, Vincent, Cidofolus (ff12), Vayne with the undying as his ex mode, Zorn and Thorn (ff9) (and yes as a pair), fang with commando, saboteur, and sentinel paradigms (her starting set), warrior of darkness (ff3).
Ramza Beoulve, anyone? I understand not wanting to get Crystal Chronicles and all the other spin off games into this, but Ramza and company went through just as much in Tactics as any of the main FF games.
A good addition for FF2 would be Minwu. It'd be kinda cool to see Ricard, but he's too similar to Kain. I love the list, but I'd rather have Vivi than Beatrix.
Finally! Someone who realizes that Kingdom Hearts is not a Final Fantasy game and doesnt need to be added. I love Kingdom hearts but dont believe that it needs to be put into a Final Fantasy Based game. Kingdom Hearts is a stand alone series that uses Characters from different franchises.
@Villiscaband1 indeed once they start adding those characters before you know it dissidia will turn into an all out brawl with characters from every Square Enix game.
No problem Landscape. Its just why the heck didn't they just add Vayne from the start...Gabranth was just a side villian while Vayne was the main one...made no sense. Shame they could not fit Seymour in....would have been kick ass

I only have 3 favs, Auron, Balthier and Zack. Auron in Chaos side if it's a prequel, Balthier and Zack in Cosmos. Why Auron in Chaos? Well, he will mirror Jetch role, since he is in Cosmos' side in Duodecim, and good guys have been in Chaos side too (Tidus, Terra and Cloud).
@LandscapeManX My proof is that you could use the main chatacters avatar at the picture selection screen in Dissidia 012 when you verse online with someone, which means that he will most likely be in the next one for all we know. It's been too long not letting him released, and I've been checking when is Square Enix going to make the next new Dissidia.. and still no word.
Rinoa will most likely be in the next one, it's like "Tifa" when she came to the second, Rinoa is the famous girl from FF8, shes a must in the next version, if Square Enix don't put Rinoa in the next one, they're really fucking smoking weed for this matter, lol.
As new characters I'd like to have : Auron, Vivy, Vincent Valentine, Venat the Occuria as a new boss, Gilgamesh, Orthros, and... I'd love Square Enix to finally admit that R=U, and make Rinoa as an optional outfit of Ultimecia (they partially did by giving her Rinoa's weapons- the new elements brought by the Dissidia series to prove the R=U theory are one of the reasons I buy these games) :))
Hate to say it, Vincent is a likely candidate. Dissidia doesn't need any more sulky members. Don't get me wrong, he's a chill character, but we don't need cloud, squall, lightning, Vincent all sulking, lol. plus, FF7 has more then enough.
@LandscapeManX DoC characters would be a fun addition to dissidia, they are so just so fit for the game play, they wouldn't even need to be included in the main story line, just bonus characters, xD but its sadly true how most people hate DoC. :((
@UnderRateD95 maybe if you took the time to play through the whole game instead of assuming she was static and stayed the same way through the entire thing, you would realize that one of the main characters, just like every other final fantasy game, actually does develop and change as the game progresses... Who would have thought?
Faris would be cool, Gau is unlikely (Locke would probably be chosen), Rinoa is pretty obvious, but Seifer could also make it in, Beatrix would be cool, but Vivi, Garnet, Steiner, and Freya are equally likely, Sazh would be awesome (I wanted him in 012), Seymour seems unnecessary (Yuna fills the summoner slot), I'd prefer Auron, Vayne would be cool, but there are some others from 12 that would be too, Dysley seems unlikely (how would he fight?), Cid would be a better choice. Secrets are good.

I think i would like Zack fair to appear with chaos like when he was shinra and thought they were a good company but he finds out the truth and switch to cosmos or something like that.

FFVIII - Quistis (Her Blue Magic skills is a welcome addition to Dissidia. Plus, her style is quite suited for 3D games due to her whip. She can be the Litchi of Dissidia)
FFX- Lulu (Black Mage specialist and the rolling of the analog stick for her EX mode is badass. They can make her something similar to Ultimecia but unique either way.)
FFX-2 - Rikku or Paine (Sphere Class change job opens up diversity and interesting gameplay for Dissidia.)
FFXIII - Fang or Sazh (Forget Lightning, she may be cool but she is just downright bitch. Sulky personalities does not equal badass in my opinion. Fang can utilize a playstyle like Vaan but specializes in the staff class. EX mode can be her utilizing the modern version of Bahamut to reach further distances and punishment.)
i would like to see cid raines ,seymour ,auron yunalesca(costume for cloud of darkness) ,shuyn(just a costume for tidus) ,steiner ,garnet ,garland yaag rosch ,seifer, noctis , ace , machina , marche, luso, ramza , remedi , aerith , zack , genesis, rem, serah(final fantasy xiii-2 style), snow, fang, cyan, sabin, locke, celes, ghestal(i don't know how to write that guys name), faris, rydia, zeromus, rosa, maria, guy, and the 6 warriors of light from final fantasy 1, and thats all I think
people we are forgeting some importants characters the need to be put in the game of dissidia: like FF X: KImhari ; Auron ,FFIX - VIVI, FFVii, Seifer and some that apear in kingdom hearts .
i dont think they will add anyone from ff 7 as they already added tifa in 012 and if they where to add anyone it would probably be aerith as she already has been added as a support character in 012 :P
Personally, I think Fighter and Black Mage from the First FF could work fantastically if handled right. Particularly if Fighter was as dumb as a board with a sword obsession and BM was just this side of evil.
I'd only like to see Tiamat or Lich from the Original Final Fantasy. And Xande from III. Seifer should've been the choice for VIII's villain in the first Dissidia, and Edea appearing in the sequel. Much more interesting character's as long as battle style and story goes.
I'd really like to see Barthandelous (XIII) and Doctor Cid (XII). Just for the ex-forms. And even though it's very unlikely: Ramza Beoulve, with either Delita or Ultima to oppose.
I say they make a console game and just add all the protagonists and antagonists of every game and add 2 vs 2 combat with alot of new maps. I would so buy it
i have one on a neoseeker forum. it's way too long to put on here. and the characters are a little farfetched but with the psp vita coming out i think square could make an extra buck and make the next dissidia and put a whole bunch more people in it. i can post a link if anyone wants to see the list.
-Cid Raines from FFXIII. THIS GUY REALLY DESERVES IT! WE NEED A REP. FOR CHAOS FROM FFXIII.
-Noctis from FFvsXIII. This guy will start out as a dude from Chaos, like Locke. But starts to see the light again. He's also the main character from FFvsXIII. Light hidden in darkness.
-Stella from FFvsXIII. Come on. we need a pretty girl on Chaos's side. She makes a good enemy for Noctis, like the original game. Darkness hidden in light.
-Ashe from FFXII. I mean come on. Do I have to explain. The girl kicks ass. Either her or Penelo, or Fran should be in the next Dissidia. We NEED to have a female rep. for FFXII.
-Seymour from FFX. Seymour would make a good enemy for Yuna. I mean really. Who doesn't want a psycho that tried to marry a girl that's already taken.
-Beatrix from FFIX. I mean, look at that girl. She's like a mini-Light. Another badass female needs to be in Dissidia.
-Machina or Rem from FFT-0 because he/she are the only 2 remaining class members from C0. AND they both act as outside characters, but at the same time they never got a chance to fight in the war with the original C0. (Because they were crystalized.)
-I'm gonna have to go with Snow as a 2nd rep. for FFXIII. I mean, the guy was supposed to be in D012, while Light was supposed to be in the original Dissidia. But Sazh was also a good character in FFXII.

Curiously, I don't see Vincent in Chaos' side. There's already Cloud and Sephiroth (yeah, it's said in the report that Cloud was a fighter of Chaos a lot of times). You also forgot about FF Type-0. I doubt they will not add one of the character in a new dissidia.
@MirialiaofGS Vincent is listed under "Secret Characters" that can either be Cosmos or Chaos.
And I didn't add Type-0 since so far dissidia has only added characters from the Numbered FF series it it will probably stay that way otherwise Square Enix has even more Characters to add o.O
i think Faris wont do well. cause she'll have the same abilities as Bartze. Gau is alright. be like Prish and have lots of Variety. Rinoa... well, the full on mages have been done by Terra and Ulti, only difference would be the shooting thing. Beatrix... yes, oh god yes let her be in there. Sazh... same reason as Farris, just light as the example. Seymour is fine. Eald... cant comment, never played 11 Vayne's good. pope... no, just no. Zulvan... no clue. Xande, no. Vincent, YES
@godsplayingfield Kefka, Terra, Shantotto, the Onion Knight, and Cloud all use Firaga, to varying effectiveness and uses. Hell, Kefka has two or three versions. I doubt highly that they can't make each character unique.
Sazh couldn't be like Lightning because he doesn't have a sword. He would probably use the same mechanics (Triple jobs) and he would probably deal physical and magical damage almost exclusively in those classes, but he would be a ranged character as opposed to Lightning's melee.
i agree with many (beatrix among others :D). personally, i'd love to see x-2's rikku enter dissidia as more or less an all purpose fighter using the dress spheres for attacks. i'd also like to see some of the people from final fantasy tactics, in partiular, agrias, to star also. the only issue with creating sequels to dissidia is that there are overwhelmingly more "cosmos" characters than "chaos" characters. which begs the question, why are they always losing? :P
@Dibujoton88 kingdom heart may not have a "right" to be in dissidia, but it would add to the franchise and more than likely get more people to play. which i'm down with. no one i know plays it. T.T

Finally! Someone who realizes that Kingdom Hearts is not a Final Fantasy game and doesnt need to be added. I love Kingdom hearts but dont believe that it needs to be put into a Final Fantasy Based game. Kingdom Hearts is a stand alone series that uses Characters from different franchises.

I only have 3 favs, Auron, Balthier and Zack. Auron in Chaos side if it's a prequel, Balthier and Zack in Cosmos. Why Auron in Chaos? Well, he will mirror Jetch role, since he is in Cosmos' side in Duodecim, and good guys have been in Chaos side too (Tidus, Terra and Cloud).

It's been too long not letting him released, and I've been checking when is Square Enix going to make the next new Dissidia.. and still no word.

As new characters I'd like to have : Auron, Vivy, Vincent Valentine, Venat the Occuria as a new boss, Gilgamesh, Orthros, and... I'd love Square Enix to finally admit that R=U, and make Rinoa as an optional outfit of Ultimecia (they partially did by giving her Rinoa's weapons- the new elements brought by the Dissidia series to prove the R=U theory are one of the reasons I buy these games) :))

Hate to say it, Vincent is a likely candidate. Dissidia doesn't need any more sulky members. Don't get me wrong, he's a chill character, but we don't need cloud, squall, lightning, Vincent all sulking, lol. plus, FF7 has more then enough.

Faris would be cool, Gau is unlikely (Locke would probably be chosen), Rinoa is pretty obvious, but Seifer could also make it in, Beatrix would be cool, but Vivi, Garnet, Steiner, and Freya are equally likely, Sazh would be awesome (I wanted him in 012), Seymour seems unnecessary (Yuna fills the summoner slot), I'd prefer Auron, Vayne would be cool, but there are some others from 12 that would be too, Dysley seems unlikely (how would he fight?), Cid would be a better choice. Secrets are good.

Characters whom I think should be considered...
FFVIII - Quistis (Her Blue Magic skills is a welcome addition to Dissidia. Plus, her style is quite suited for 3D games due to her whip. She can be the Litchi of Dissidia)
FFX- Lulu (Black Mage specialist and the rolling of the analog stick for her EX mode is badass. They can make her something similar to Ultimecia but unique either way.)
FFX-2 - Rikku or Paine (Sphere Class change job opens up diversity and interesting gameplay for Dissidia.)

FFXIII - Fang or Sazh (Forget Lightning, she may be cool but she is just downright bitch. Sulky personalities does not equal badass in my opinion. Fang can utilize a playstyle like Vaan but specializes in the staff class. EX mode can be her utilizing the modern version of Bahamut to reach further distances and punishment.)

I'd only like to see Tiamat or Lich from the Original Final Fantasy. And Xande from III. Seifer should've been the choice for VIII's villain in the first Dissidia, and Edea appearing in the sequel. Much more interesting character's as long as battle style and story goes.
I'd really like to see Barthandelous (XIII) and Doctor Cid (XII). Just for the ex-forms. And even though it's very unlikely: Ramza Beoulve, with either Delita or Ultima to oppose.

-Machina or Rem from FFT-0 because he/she are the only 2 remaining class members from C0. AND they both act as outside characters, but at the same time they never got a chance to fight in the war with the original C0. (Because they were crystalized.)
-I'm gonna have to go with Snow as a 2nd rep. for FFXIII. I mean, the guy was supposed to be in D012, while Light was supposed to be in the original Dissidia. But Sazh was also a good character in FFXII.

Curiously, I don't see Vincent in Chaos' side. There's already Cloud and Sephiroth (yeah, it's said in the report that Cloud was a fighter of Chaos a lot of times). You also forgot about FF Type-0. I doubt they will not add one of the character in a new dissidia.

@godsplayingfield Kefka, Terra, Shantotto, the Onion Knight, and Cloud all use Firaga, to varying effectiveness and uses. Hell, Kefka has two or three versions. I doubt highly that they can't make each character unique.
Sazh couldn't be like Lightning because he doesn't have a sword. He would probably use the same mechanics (Triple jobs) and he would probably deal physical and magical damage almost exclusively in those classes, but he would be a ranged character as opposed to Lightning's melee.

i agree with many (beatrix among others :D). personally, i'd love to see x-2's rikku enter dissidia as more or less an all purpose fighter using the dress spheres for attacks. i'd also like to see some of the people from final fantasy tactics, in partiular, agrias, to star also. the only issue with creating sequels to dissidia is that there are overwhelmingly more "cosmos" characters than "chaos" characters. which begs the question, why are they always losing? :P
