  • Today u can get cancer from just about anything I wasnt trying to say the killing of skin cells causes skin cancer I was saying that it kills skin cells and then later on if u keep tanning harshly like Evry day u will eventually get skin cancer? I am bad at wording what I am saying

  • So yeah

  • I agree tanning is healthy it helps support vitamin D in you body but if you tan to much it kills skin cells and eventually causes skin cancer

  • @adamsizemore1 Do you realize that your argument is circular? To say that the "killing of skin cells" is what causes cancer would also lead one to believe that simply living causes skin cancer. Why? Because every second of every day cells in your body are dying, naturally. All cells in our body die and reproduce through mitosis.

To say that tanning kills skin cells and that's what causes cancer is ridiculous. Learn some biology before posting something so silly.

  • Awh!!! Enjoy your new baby, very very cute!! :)

  • That baby looks like she's loving that tan! And people want this banned? Are you kidding! They use tanning bulbs to treat all sorts of conditions, this is the best example of how it can save a baby's life. TANNING IS NOT BAD. And it's funny how hypocritical the medical community is, warning against the supposed "dangers" of tanning and yet dermatoligists use them to treat acne, psoriasis, eczema, and many other health problems. Tanning is healthy, end of story.

  • @nasilu

Too much of ANYTHING, is bad for you. Including tanning.

  • @nasilu You're an idiot.

  • @nasilu tanning can be bad for you, and this is not even really "tanning". its a way to help treat jaundice and other newborn health problems. tanning causes skin cancer, andmedical professionals are right to warn about the dangers of it. so even though doctors use these kinds of materials and equiptment doesnt mean its not harmful to you.

  • @mskaykay65 How do you figure this is not really "tanning"?

Tanning is defined as: Browning of the skin due to UV exposure.

Guess what they're exposing this baby to? UV LIGHT! It even says in the video description "in the baby tanning booth for jaundice".

And it's not just hospitals that use tanning beds, dermatologists do too. Tanning is NATURAL way to clear up eczema, psoriasis, acne, and a whole list of other skin conditions.

  • @mskaykay65 Tanning is also a NATURAL evolutionary process by which our skin developed a mechanism to convert UV energy into something useful for our bodies - Vitamin D. And many studies have shown that during the winter months 98% of people suffer from some kind of Vitamin D deficiency due to lack of UV exposure. And no, you cannot get enough Vitamin D through your food unless you want to do damage to your liver. In a single 20 min full body tan you produce 10, 000 - 20, 000 IU...

  • @nasilu of Vitamin D. If you tried to consume 10, 000 - 20, 000 IU of Vitamin D orally everyday you'd likely end up in the hospital, very sick, or dead. Our bodies were not made to take-in Vitamin D orally. And in fact very few foods are NATURALLY high in Vitamin D. That's why Vitamin D is usually added to foods chemically.

You can argue with me all you want, but you don't really have any facts to back up your claims, you're just repeating what you've heard from the media and others.

  • @mskaykay65 Oh and maybe so you can form a non-biased opinion about this subject, you should read a book by a doctor who has a PHD in Biochemistry and specializes in Endocrinology. His name is Dr. Holick and he is also a panel member for Pier Review committees like NIH and NASA. He is also a professor at the Boston University Medical Center where he teaches Medicine, Physiology, and Biophysics.

He wrote the book "The UV Advantage" which was based on years of research.

  • awww!

  • i was in one of those when i was a baby :) this is a cute video and cute baby

  • aaawwww :'( thats so sad, im glad she's doing much better

  • wat the hell baby got tanning beds now???

  • @therealoneee It's a bilireuben light to treat jaundice.

  • @therealoneee Yeah, what Kaya said..and the title of this video is just a little silly.

  • @therealoneee its for premis, its for their health. its like a chick in a incubator. it doesnt harm them, its not the same as a tanning bed:P
