@orlandobabe I actually thought David was the jerk. He seemed like he was ok with her doing it, then flipped out later on, placing all the blame on her. It was a joint decision. When he questions Diana about it later, then gets upset and yells, "You were attracted to him!" - he had to have known that beforehand. I guess he didn't expect it would hit him this hard, but he still acted like an arse. I couldn't feel sorry for David when he basically egged on Gage's flirtations with his wife!

I think she should have admitted her attraction and apologized for it.

R. Redford plays it great throughout. But this monologue is brilliant. One can understand it if he signed this contract just to do this scene. Demi Moore follows along great, too, hesitating to leave the room, and listening on. When he says, "I don't want that to happen again," and she realizes that she suddenly becomes a part of the story that she's been told, her lips part in both disbelief and flattery. Phew ...what a scene!

one of my TOP 5 FAV movies of all time... and this is my FAV part of the movie... somehow Redford makes you REALLY believe he has felt this way... From one point u have solved problems certanly for 10 years (if u take the money), and also it is very sure that that can not be forgotten. But if do that, u need to ask what is more important, money or love? But that is not just money, it is million, but love... Love can wourth more than that. Very comlicated, I think that I would just walk away, dont know

I was 13 when this movie came out!! I loved it!! I remember seeing it easter sunday 1993 with my friend! What a great time it was!
