Reference to a priestly messiah is a reference to the Maccabee family, the Hashmonim. The fact is that they were not supposed to take up the throne, but since they did so, and since they didn't restore the throne to its rightful heirs, they became corrupt & lost power. Since the time of Aharon, priesthood belongs only to his descendants, and the rulership rightfully belongs to tribe of Yehuda. Those who flaunted this started problems -there's not any concept of a "priest-king" - that's Egyptian.

To state that you do not believe in the existence of something is logically reducible to the statement that you believe something does not exist. The fact is that they were not supposed to take up the throne, but since they did so, and since they didn't restore the throne to its rightful heirs, they became corrupt & lost power. To state that you do not believe in the existence of something is logically reducible to the statement that you believe something does not exist. If you truly do not believe, and need some personal threshold of evidence in order to believe, then you are an agnostic.
