I play on a Schmidt mouthpiece and I sound just fine. Personally, I dont like the tuba hes playing on. I like the Miraphones. But you sound great. Better than I did at your age. Though I hope your posture has improved. Being slouched like that restricts your lungs.

There is a pretty big difference between playing Euphonium and Tuba. I play all low brass and trust me, the jump from Euph to Tuba was a lot harder than Trombone to Euph. Saying that you could outplay this kid isn't saying much and you're not really proving anything.

But his teacher should be taken out into the pasture and shot. he's playing with the entirely wrong embouchure. what i hear is a trumpet player trying to play tuba. his intonation is flat and dry. Sounds like chubby kids fighting. but really small fixes for a good young player. Good Job

Pretty good! Just make sure to keep your tone quality in the lower register, and try to clean up the faster runs in the lower register, but you are well on your way! I know I couldn't do that when I was your age!

Not bad for however old you might be(13 or so i'd guess) but you need to work a little on your tone in the higher register. To me it sounds a little thinner than the rest of the range you play in. I would suggest doing some lip slurs to make your embouchure even stronger. If you keep working i can guarantee you'll be playing stuff like the Gregson concerto and Cappricio(Penderecki) by the time your in high school.

these songs that you have mentioned in the above comment really arent difficult at all,I am in the national symphony band 3rd chair out of 24,1st chair in my colleges marching band,anyway the songs you were typing of are very easy.Even to a first timer.most of these songs are qurter notes and 16th notes.also they mostley play scales.
