I played the PlayStation 1 version and CAPCOM have made a breakthrough on this REmake 'cuz only some cheesy lines are in it and the voice acting is way better.

It is a magnum, but it is not the handcannon. If I remember clearly it's called the "Silver Serpant", it was made by Kendo, who you meet in RE2. The handcannon I think you are talking about is a Smith & Wesson M500, AKA the most powerfull handgun in existence, firing the .500 round made by S&W, that is of course if you mean the RE4 handcannon. If you mean this game then I have no idea what you are talking about.

too bad I never played this version. The resemblance with the original is striking!!! Although I disagree about the acting criticism: just like the red alert francise, the incredibly bad voice over acting was a part of the charm and like many movies from the '80 it just added to the cult status of this game. Barry's not a bad guy, he's just a bit naive is all, and I cannot blame him for doing Weskers bidding, Wesker said Barry's wife and daughter's would be in danger if he refused. (and I would not put ANYTHING past Wesker!) hopefully we'll get to play as him or at least see him again in either R.E.U.C. or even R.E.5. sadly, since Barry obviously is'nt as young as he used to be, we may see him die in at least one of those games...

Please do not be TOO hard on the voice actors for the cheesiness of their performances, it's not ALL their fault as far as I'm concerned, the dialogue is excruciating! just like in at least some of the sequels. (Even in R.E.4 it was questionable to say the least! "Boredom kills me"?! that was their best?! I'd have at least considered firing the clown who wrote that without a heartfelt apology!) Can you imagine READING some of that?!

A crimson head is a new kind of zombie that only appears in Resident Evil 1 Remake.

After you kill a normal zombie, the body won't automatically disappear but keep lying there. After like 20 or 30 minutes it will come back to life again but this time it can run and it has long claws and stuff. Very diffult to kill unless you have powerful weapons like grenade.

The only way to avoid them is to blast the normal zombies' heads or use oil and lighter to burn up the body.

you can also avoid them if you use the grenade launcher with the flame rounds if you kill a zombie with flame rounds you don't have to burn it. The round does it for you, u can also shoot the zombie with the flame round if it's just lying there and is not a crimson head yet that will make it not come back to life if you have the ammo. Use the grenade launcher unlimited ammo glitch.
