With enough mechanical know-how, building an aircraft from scratch is not hard since the basic principals of flight have been known for decades. But building one from junkyard parts that actually flies is quite an accomplishment.... I just don't know about that nose gear though!

Congrats for what he accomplished with what knowledge and funding he has. However it's a piece of ####. Maybe such unprecise design would be acceptable for the first kenyan built car, but no way it's ok for an aircraft. I understand that the rates for shipping decent equipment to NBO are high however he should understand that without it there is no chance for a safe and working a/c. The weight won't allow such an aircraft to fly more than a few feet off the ground and the drag will do the rest
