The testing process was completely flawed. You only tested the write times by installing everything.... Installed games may READ and LOAD faster on a flash drive than an Xbox HD.

@CommieKid Yeah, that's what I learned in a basic computer class, and a hardware class, Hard Drives have discs, so it takes time for the Xbox to find the data, while on a flash drive it doesn't have a disc to search around for files.

This is sadly true you can use most any flash drive until it goes above 16gb, then you're just wasting your time/money for extra gigs Microsoft wont let you use.

What would be great would be a modded hard drive to run on a 360 that splits anything above 16gb into multiple partitions fooling the xbox into thinking there are merely multiple flash drives plugged in.

with 5 usb ports you could possibly fool the xbox into thinking you have a total of 80gb worth of flash drives!fund it!

you mean 360 slim? The elite and the original model were the same thing the only difference was the color and the size of the hard drive that came with the system.

@SICKxBOYx88 the only way elites red ring, is if the owner takes extremely bad care of it / doesnt download games to the harddrive yet plays it for hours. The Red Ring is usually an owner error. Ive had an Xbox arcarde since they came out, play it a lot. Never red ringed. All you have to do is keep it cool and dont let it overheat. And yes, i am positive i am talking about the Elite.
