My only question for you is this: do you have any tricks to avoid fatigue? After I reach the thirty minute mark (usually somewhere around 200,000, give or take 20,000), my mind starts to wander. When my mind starts to wander, I end up running into a ghost. Once I lose my first life, I become frustrated and chase down Blinky until I have no more lives--effectively committing se-Pac-ku.

I probably should have checked to make sure the Dutch use the word "seppuku," too. I know it's the same in German and English. I often make the mistake of guessing words borrowed from Asian languages must be the same in Dutch and German. I'm sure this is not always the case. The 'feel' in MAME just takes a little getting used to. And changing the aspect ratio to 5:4 helps too.
@smurfthumper Cocktails are so much more common than the uprights, but I like the uprights better. On the anniversary machines with the big screens, I don't know why but it just messes the game up a bit. They are the wort when they are warped and dispositioned. PLUS, they often fail when I play.

In original Pac-Man the frame does exist (and last for 1/60 of a second) so ghost are obligated to change direction. However eating power pellet causes Pac-Man to stop for 3 frames, so he can't eat the ghost anyway...
I had one version of miss pac man on my pc, in that version you could eat the banana ever and ever only if you didn't eat all the pills, i could obtain about of 600, 000 points. unfortunately i lost that version.
Naice.... I just noticed. When you get the extra large pellet, the ghosts reverse direction, because the non-existent frame of vulnerability makes them cut short and run. Then they can't change back to their normal direction until they find a way around.

No, unlike in Pac-Man, the ghosts take different starting paths with each new level; but there IS a limited amount of those paths. Once you have the ghosts 'under control' however, you can finish each level the same way with a specific path.

damn this sounds as infamous as the pacman split-screen, I've read that there are a very few players who can play the kill-screen levels, would be cool to see how that looks like! It even would be cool to see a kill-screen. I hope one day someone will collect the 1 million. It will be like Billy Mitchel first perfect score only this time even more respected and legendary among gamers!
The only screen i can't play is the upside down one... most ppl who CAN play those, are players who have played on MAME versions or other types, where you can advance the levels manually so that they can just keep practicing those kill-screens. But i dunno, maybe that WR-guy can play it but i sure can't (yet) ;)
Yep that's the big question all ms pac-fans have been asking for 20+ years lol! My high is 939k and the WR is 933k ... The Fruit God must be in a generous mood to get 900k+ it def aint easy!

and can you explain what you mean by ''kill screen levels'', can you play them, also I know that the world record is 900.000 something but how much points can you reach I you would play ''a perfect game of ms pacman?'' After level 133, you sometimes get 1,2,3,4, or 8 extra levels, also called 'kill screens' (not sure why, it's american & i'm dutch lol). Sometimes they are normal levels, sometimes upside down screens with ghosts & pacman right-side up & impossible (for me) to play... sometimes it just tilts which is a big bummer :)
After 21 levels, if you have 320.000 then that's pretty great. Every levels after that you score on average about 5.000 (random fruits and unable to eat ghosts). 16 screens are repeated 7 times = 112 more levels. This means 560.000 so on average, at level 133, i have around 860-890.000, but that is withOUT the kill-screen levels :)
why you wasted most of the time running back and forth where the pellets wasn't at? I mean where the ghost was, it wasn't like you was gonna get trapped
Looks are deceiving... at this stage in the game (after level 20), ms pac-man is a lot slower... i need to keep them at a distance coz if i start eating pellets they catch up within 2 seconds; also the more dots you eat the faster Blinky (the red one) is, and when ms pac-man's slow you have to be Xtra careful!
But yeh, normally i clear that blue board in half the time, usually about 1½ minutes.

The official Twin Galaxies world record is still 933K, but the record holder, Abdner Ashman, has reportedly scored an amazingly banana filled 988K in an unsubmitted taped game.

and can you explain what you mean by ''kill screen levels'', can you play them, also I know that the world record is 900.000 something but how much points can you reach I you would play ''a perfect game of ms pacman?'' It would be cool to beat the world record and be the first one to collect over 1 million:)

After level 133, you sometimes get 1,2,3,4, or 8 extra levels, also called 'kill screens' (not sure why, it's american & i'm dutch lol). Sometimes they are normal levels, sometimes upside down screens with ghosts & pacman right-side up & impossible (for me) to play... sometimes it just tilts which is a big bummer :)

After 21 levels, if you have 320.000 then that's pretty great. Every levels after that you score on average about 5.000 (random fruits and unable to eat ghosts). 16 screens are repeated 7 times = 112 more levels. This means 560.000 so on average, at level 133, i have around 860-890.000, but that is withOUT the kill-screen levels :)

Looks are deceiving... at this stage in the game (after level 20), ms pac-man is a lot slower... i need to keep them at a distance coz if i start eating pellets they catch up within 2 seconds; also the more dots you eat the faster Blinky (the red one) is, and when ms pac-man's slow you have to be Xtra careful!
But yeh, normally i clear that blue board in half the time, usually about 1½ minutes.
