@unnamednewbie13 True. I used the advanced mapping features from Hexen in doom. I had to do this to achieve a lot of the things I did.

Not quite, as Hovertank 3D and Catcombs 3D came out before Wolfenstein 3D, and they were FPS games.

The first FPS is Maze war or Spasim. However some people don't consider Maze games, or space shooters an FPS, thus making the first FPS Hovertank 3D.
