I have the exact car as you do and have been following your videos.i have the JLT CAI and an o/r X pipe with stock mufflers. I had flowmasters American thunders on it but it way way too loud. Surprisingly the stocks sound good and dont wake the neighbors or shatter windows.,

i have that setup, but with UPR highflow catted xpipe...200 is alot, i paid 30 bucks, but u pay for it to sound good and be done right. i dig it

@stangredemption yeah i took the mufflers off my 67 and bought some piping to route it the rest of the way, cost me like 20$ in parts.

wait they cut the mufflers off? why? there is a bracket that you can unscrew to slide the mufflers out requires no cutting.

weak noisy sound doesn't sound like a race car at all listen to it Truck sound. Install a race muffler for a good Tone OBX mufflers are good. A muffler exist for a reason.

@bmwz3BM yes, a muffler exists for a reason. that reason is to muffle the exhaust, hence the name muffler. its purpuse is to simply quiet the exhaust down.

dam u were over charged. i paid 40 bucks to have the piping bent and installed with my pre purchased tips from hottexhaust total was 100 bucks. i took the mufflers off myself in 30 min. there is only 10 bolts all together

Yeah, but it's not like I got ripped off. I would have taken the mufflers off myself, but didn't have the tools or the time. I would rather just pay a little extra to have someone else do it.

Sounds good. Look at switching your midpipe to a prochamber with hi-flow cats. They don't sell the prochamber like this but you can have the hi-flows welded in. I am running SLP LM with the prochamber and hi-flows and it has an unique sound. Sounds close to a 60s-70s muscle car.

When I bought my 05GT; I didn't have the luxury of video clips. I gambled on Borla's "stinger" full catback system. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved at the same time. Not a lot of drone and about 2x louder than stock. I think your current setup will grow tiresome and you'll be looking for something better; like a system that's tuned to sound GOOD. I dumped my Mustang two years ago for a new Corvette. But, I do miss the Mustang's signature sound; that's about it. Good luck.
