True, but the UFC, like every other sports association, has a say in who refs and judges each individual fight. Its not a random lottery; its a negotiation. I would also like to point how the NBA just went through this, and how other refs got off the hook but one ref was held "responsible." And if you think because it's a state government body, therefore exempt of corruption/influence, well just look at the outcomes of fights/games where the underdog loses by points. Bias makes more money.
A ruling to the contrary of popular opinion does not automatically equal a bribe or a fixed fight. Judging fights is a subjective affair and at times the judges decision is going to diverge from the generally accepted opinion.

Fedor has fought and Beaten 5 previous UFC HW Champs, the rest of his competition being equal caliber as anyone in the UFC HW division which has historically been considerably weak (specially prior to 2-3 years ago).
There is no one in the UFC HW division that even approaches the record of Fedor nor have fought the amount of quality opponents as he has. Couture is the closest and he's on his way out - he could barely win over Vera at LHW

But sometimes you can have two crappy teams have the best game ever, or two crappy fighters have an amazing fight. Case in point, Pete Sell vs Steve Smith, two mediocre fighters, amazing fight.
When your a true MMA fan, you will watch any organization on any channel or at a local show or in your back yard because MMA is the most exciting combat sport around. Pro fighters want to be in the UFC because they make more money there. Not just fight money, but endorsements and such. If they have their own gym, which alot of fighters do, then it helps their gym because of exposure.

The UFC does not hire the judges. They are paid and assigned by the athletic commissions independent of the UFC.

lol oh man. i remember watching a blog in the spring in which dana was looking into the camera instead of at the road while he was driving. people were saying he should watch the road while doing his blog while driving or he would end up like mask.

When your a true MMA fan, you will watch any organization on any channel or at a local show or in your back yard because MMA is the most exciting combat sport around. Pro fighters want to be in the UFC because they make more money there. Not just fight money, but endorsements and such. If they have their own gym, which alot of fighters do, then it helps their gym because of exposure.

Are we talking about MMA or freakin soccer?! What I was getting at is when there is a fight to watch, you will watch it, regardless of the organization. Of course you want to see the best, but when the alternative isn't (on paper) the best, you watch anyway.

AlsoI haven't got the time or the will to sit through every mma match I see online, especially if i'm sure it goes to decision. Nor do you, just admit it and stop trying to sound so hardcore. you probably only watch UFC and Strikeforce, and know fuck all about mma apart from the big names.

I have two things to ad: Randy said when he had problem with the UFC that Dana treats fighters like shit, which many other fighters can agree.
And Couture after his fight against Brock said that Fedor would destroy Lesnar, remember he trained and is friend with Fedor... I believe more Randy who fought Lesnar and knwos fedor, basicly any other fighters, Fedor's record, my feelings when I compare Fedor competing and lesnar, rather than any UFC nuthuggers could say on youtube

Fedor's brother Aleksander Emelianenko cut Fedor's nose in their training leading up to the Josh Barnett Fight and Brett Rogers re-opened the cut.
Just watch the interview where Fedor says this instead of arguing about it.
