Jesus Christ created everything perfect. plants, animals, and humans. it was created in that order because God was preparing earth for man. death was not on the agenda. but then man sinned against His God and that brought and end to the creation in perfection. man had now become degenerate by the effect of sin and the whole creation is in turmoil. got it?

@damanfrom808 I just watched a video about a parasitic wasp that lays it's eggs inside small insects and other animals and then the eggs go on to burst out of it and kill it in one of the most horrible and aggonising ways possible. @damanfrom808 how could jesus christ have created animals that existed thousands of years before humans existed? Stop thinking that humans are the center of the universe. Hummingbirds are not created for us to marvel, you must be pretty fucking arrogant to think that these creatures spend their entire lives, travelling thousands of miles during their entire lives so that we, in our complacency, can spend a minute from our glutinous lives and say, "aww... how cute." 13 US gallons (49.21 Litres) divided by 9,000 humming bird visitors = 5.47ml of sugar water drunk per bird. @Matt3471 I wouldnt have thought so, they get a lot more food at this guys garden than they would from flowers. The only downside I can see is that he is an old guy, and when he sadly does pass on the hummingbirds that detour there will unfortunatly go without. And in answer to your other question, flowers get on just fine polinated by bees and other insects. Hummingbirds do help, I'm not denying that, but insects being smaller are much better polinators.
David Attenborough is a legend, a great man and much loved by anyone who loves animals. I'm a fan of Steve Hackett and he wrote a guitar piece named after the Brazilian for these birds, 'Beja Flora' or 'kiss the flower' lovely name.
The ones around my house fight all the time. How come these feed on the same feeder and the ones around here will guard two or three in a yard. Flying to a branch to wait for another to come in to feed and then swoop on it. All they do is fight. Is that different types. Or while traveling they are more pleasant to each other.
Same at my location. Pretty sure it's because of nesting and securing a feeding source. I think it's the males trying to establish territory. My guess is that during migration they only focus on living and making it. No need to fight for mates or territory since they won't be staying at that location
Whoever at youtube decided to put adverts before bbc videos is an idiot. In fact, whoever decided to put video advertisements in before people can watch any videos is an idiot. Only makes me want to use another video site, and there are plenty.
Yeah, I was just bitchin' cause I was used to (for the most part) commercial free youtube, sorry bout' that LOL. But yeah, I guess someone's gotta pay, in time or money. Lovely little birds though!!!

Nobody can ever replace David Attenborough - he really is one of a kind.
But if I HAD to choose another person to do the voiceover... Morgan Freeman would not be a bad choice.

Is a negative effect to feeding humming birds? If they are eating out of these artificial feeders then who pollinates their normal food sources?
Matt3471 1 year ago
@Matt3471 I wouldnt have thought so, they get a lot more food at this guys garden than they would from flowers. The only downside I can see is that he is an old guy, and when he sadly does pass on the hummingbirds that detour there will unfortunatly go without. And in answer to your other question, flowers get on just fine polinated by bees and other insects. Hummingbirds do help, I'm not denying that, but insects being smaller are much better polinators.

Have you ever seen a hummingbird moth... they look just like hummingbirds.
Don't be an unreliable feeder, because they will die if they don't eat every 6 minutes.

I just watched a movie called "Food, Inc" and it is really disgusting how animals are treated by food manufacturers. i am going organic!

Wonderful clip! and big hearted man!
Thanks to him these little birds have a chance at survival.

Or while traveling they are more pleasant to each other.
krrrruptidsoless 2 years ago
Same at my location. Pretty sure it's because of nesting and securing a feeding source. I think it's the males trying to establish territory. My guess is that during migration they only focus on living and making it. No need to fight for mates or territory since they won't be staying at that location

Whoever at youtube decided to put adverts before bbc videos is an idiot. In fact, whoever decided to put video advertisements in before people can watch any videos is an idiot. Only makes me want to use another video site, and there are plenty.
theTollers 2 years ago
If you refresh the page (F5) when you're about to catch an advert, usually the video will restart without it.
