Very early 50"s at the old Hollywood Legion Stadium. KTTV channel 11. Your ring announcer is Bill Welsh, a mainstay at channel 11 for years. "Chief" Jules Strongbow later would be the matchmaker at the Olympic Auditorium when wrestling went to channel 5 KTLA. He did the locker room interviews with Dick Lane. Great stuff! Thanks!
Fred Blassie guest starred on THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW in 1961. Rosemarie looks a lot younger in this clip, and so does Blassie. Rosemarie's hairstyle looks like the late 1940s, I would guess.
Wild Redberry is my great great great uncle.I'm not kidding its true.Someday I hope to work somehow with pro wrestling without being a wrestler because I'm scrawny.
This is 1955. October 22nd

Looks like Red is having a bad hair day.

Blassie has brown hair. So it must be around mid 1950s. Hr bleached is hair blonde after this and became the most hated heels in wrestling.
