y would u mount this tire like this. this method is for seating beads that are with skinny tires on a wide wheel. or if your in the woods and need to do this. u couldve just used a 10 gallon air compressor or takin it to the gas station and done it that way using there air.

I'm no scientist but I'll guess... The butane igniting inside the tire heats the air very quickly. The air is expanding faster than it can escape between the tire and rim and so tries to push the tire away to make room for itself. Forcing the tire against the rim.

breaking the bead off a rim is hard to do too. you need a special hammer, and even then its difficult.

After the tire is initially inflated, the either that remains inside the tire continues to burn. It does burn away quickly, but it burns long enough to do damage. If you would like to know for sure how long the heat will last, and what kind of damage it can do, spray some ether into a rubber glove and put it on your hand, and then light it......lol

Keep in mind the heat from the flame will damage the inner liner of the tire.
