A newborn can't survive on it's own without care from it's parent anymore than inside the womb at a fetal stage. So why not allow slaughtering the baby after it is born then? Pro-choicers force their beliefs just as bad. And no way can a newborn child survive without parental care. How can it? It would starve to death! And a fetus can be pre-empted for adoption early on just as a newborn. Whatever you want to believe - that is fine but you shouldn't force your opinion necessarily either. But I think the abortion law was really meant for cases of rape and health of the mother - not for getting knocked up irresponsibly and terminating just because. Too many abuse that.

Know this too that while we disagree I'm not about to bomb abortion clinics just because either. That's equally as wrong. I've another take on this too though. Shouldn't drugs be legal then as well? If we are not to be told what to do with our bodies,then we should be able to smoke pot, snort coke, shoot smack, and tweek meth whenever we want! I should be allowed to do whatever to my body-right? Let's lower the age limit for cigarettes & alcohol-legalize prostitution & Child Pornography-Why not?

Yes, drugs should be legal. It is your body, why shouldn't you be able to do what you want with it? And I am one who has never done drugs, drank alcohol, or smoked tobacco. Prostitution should be legal as well(It's consenting adults!). The age for legally buying alcohol and cigs is debatable, but why do we trust a 12 year old to hunt with a gun, but not a 20 year old to drink a beer?

I really hope you understand why child pornography is different from these things and should be illegal.

Absolutely Child Pornography should be illegal - that was a bit extreme on my part there. I was just trying to make a point of how obsurd alot of these things are. And that makes sense about the drinking age vs. a 12 year old hunting with a shotgun. Personally - I believe if drugs were legal - no one would be interested in doing them. I have my doubts about drug use dropping off with them legal, but at the least we would be saving a ton of money from the war on drugs, the over-crowded prison system, and we could tax the now legal drugs.

Mainly though, I just don't think adults need the government telling them what they can and cannot do with their own bodies and lives.

Similarly, I am a huge proponent of wearing a motorcycle helmet or seat belt. But I would never vote for a law to make them mandatory.
