  • how much is a restored one m8?

  • Think you'd probably pay about 2k for a good one now :-)

  • FANTASTIC M8

  • Cheers dude! :-)

  • I had a red one on my 17th birthday in 1980 and managed to own a blue one with microns in the late 90's, always a buzz seeing one and will always have a special place in my heart.

  • They used to sound really good with Microns and K&Ns :-) Anth.

  • ول جديد

  • And yet another great bike, just like the GT750. And that sound... Smoke them all!

  • sitting here at work and google Suzuki X7 , loved that bike , hearing it ticking over ,rattling the way they did on idle , top quality thanks.

  • Glad it bought back some memories for you, an X7 is a bit of a rare sight nowadays. Cheeers, Anth :-)

  • it was definately the noise that brought it back , all i needed was a scratch and sniff screen (the old two stroke) , great stuff

  • It is a pity you can't smell the 2 stroke oil and Castrol R :-) Anth.

  • @828cc Do you premix for this bike? I was told Castor oil is too thick for the oil pump?

    Nice bikes :)

    Adam

  • يالبى الجو بس ،

  • God your vids take me back man keep them comming!!

  • Thanks, it's nice to know the vids are appreciated :-) Cheeers, Anth.

  • @828cc there like your first girlfrend, you never forget poking around the, wernt very good at ridding them, but we thought we were barry sheen!

  • It is good to see that someone with an extensive bike collection, still makes room for the two stroke machines. You know that bloke down the pub syndrome, that sneers when you mention you like two stroke machines. You obviously like all sorts of bikes which is good to see. I think it wouldn't arf be boring if everyone just rode 500cc + size bikes, just to impress that bloke down the pub, laughs :-)

  • 2 strokes are a thing of the past now so it's important to preserve them for the next generation :-)

  • Yes unfortunately it's come to this, It won't mean much to the young generation of new riders, but when we grew up you saw many larger capacity two stroke machines everywhere as well as the 50s and 125cc's. Cagiva have managed to make there new 2 stroke 125's Euro 3 compliant, with Cat converters in the pipes, but i suppose they will only be clean as long as the exhaust is not changed to an aftermarket type. Even they are considering going 4 stroke for the future, Shame really.

  • It is a shame but at least there's still a few of the old bikes around :-) Anth.

  • your oil pump needs set up , either that or its running on fecked up pre mix .

  • hahaha so what,s the,s

i think the,s only paly boys

u need come to Sudia Arbia >after cpme Sudia Arbia yuo,er back for usa master driver bascyl

    ok

  • Phew! When the vid started I thought we were in for a blast of Duran Duran's Girls on Film!. I'd forgotten how good X7's sound. You do the fastest U-turns on YouTube!.

  • The X7 was a good bike but it never got the same following as the LC. Think I would've had zero hits if I used Duan Duran :-) Cheers, Anth.

  • amazing, brings back a lot of memories;-))) tidy little rocket

    thanks

  • Cheers for that, glad you liked it :-) Anth.

  • this is a moped right?

  • Love the smell of a smokey two stroke, I let you win the race down the A303 so i could inhale the RS250 fumes. M

  • The Aprilia smoked your Honda that day! Cheers, Anth :-)

  • tidy thing that is , people should restore more of these , there far better value for money than LC's are at the moment

  • Cheers, this one's original and hasn't been restored, I've only done 80 miles on it in the last 10 years ‹(•¿•)›

  • Great! I had some Mick Grant Power pipes on mine Had to keep welding the baffles on the end though as they kept splitting!

  • Bet they sounded nice :-) Anth.

  • i know you can get microns and allspeeds, are there any other pipes for the x7 as im after a set. cheers.

  • There used to be loads of different makes in the 80s but I think those are the only two still available :-) Anth.

  • nice video anth. at 41 seconds i could smell the air.

  • She was a bit smokey that day :-) Anth.

  • Fantatsic Bikes. I did 106mph on mine but it never did it again. it also had after market expansion chambers. So noisy. Lovely Example 828cc

  • Cheers, lots of people seem to have forgotten the X7 and only remember the earlier GTs but they really were a good bike :-) Anth.

  • i wish i had mine still!!!!

  • They're great bikes but not as fast as Suzuki claimed! Anth :-)

  • mine wouldnt do 100mph i could get 90mph out of it! my brother had an RD250LC he was able to get 105mph out of that!the X7 did accelerate quick for a 250!! thanks keep the vids coming! great job!!

  • 85 MPH sitting up :-)

  • Blue Haze Heaven!!

  • Cheers :-)

  • Da smoke puffs nicely out the pipes....

  • hi anth.didnt know you had an x7 as well.now they can be tuned!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just jack up the barrels, and skim off the =top ...........

  • This ones only done 75 miles in the last 10 years :-)

  • Wow! Running very strong! Must be a British bike. I believe they stopped the 2 strokes here with the GT250B.

  • Thanks for the ride...nice county out there?

Looks like western Illinois.( west of chicago 45 miles )

Those old Suzuki's 2-strokes are fine, I can't stop wanting to fix more of them.

    Cheers...:-)

  • Cheers Dan, there's nothing like the smell of an old 2 stroke, Anth :-)

  • Illinois?

That looks like the UK to me...

    My 15,000 miles X7 hasn't done a mile since 1992 or so...

  • It's the UK, you can tell by the sunshine! Your X7 will probably lay down a bigger smoke screen than mine when you fire it up. Cheers, Anth :-)

  • Yeah I really should get it fired up - I'm in the US right now but probably home (In Scotland) at the end of the month. I've got the Allspeeds fitted to mine as well so it makes a fair old racket to be honest.

  • I orginally bought it in 1984 not too long before I joined the Army and sold it to a lad from Galashiels - 2 years later I bought it back from the guy and took it to Germany and it was never used due to being out on excercise each time we had riding weather. It was stored in the barrack block "kitchen" for about 4 years. Disassembled the bugger and took it home in the back of my car in 1990. Had it on the road for the summer in the early 1990's and that's been it really.

  • Mine was made in 1983 so yours must be a similar model? I think you really need to fire it up now! Anth.

  • Another belting 2 stroke Anth

  • Cheers J, that was the first time it was ridden for 6 years hence lots of lovely smoke.
